The Emerald was a perfect hotel for me to spend one night in Singpaore between flights. It's not far from the MRT stations off the hectic nightlife area of Geylang Road. The staff were friendly when I arrived late at night and the room was clean, with TV and free bottled water and snacks.
A good, easy place to overnight in Singapore for people on a budget who don't want a hostel.

| "what a dump, right in the middle of the red light district. Surrounded by chinamen salivating on youngs girls.
WE only stayed one nighht although we booked and paid for 4.
disgusting, I thought singapore was better than this.

1, within the same budget you could have better hotel
in Singapore with more extra facilities ( Please
do not mislead anyone for this hotel by saying
lower budget hotel )
2, very very small rooms, you can call it a bathroom
3, so you would have bathroom and room within same
room that you could say that you stayed in a
bathroom
4, No manners in Management
5, Staff is very non-cooperative
6, Not enough drinking water source

| "The hotel location actually very closed to teh Kallnag train station and easy to get bus and taxi.
I traveld with my family and 3 kids( 7,9 and 2 years old) ,where actually we expected the room were bigger with the extra bed, but the room was not big enough plus it was very difficult to put our suitcase on this type of room.
The hotel actually god for a couple or business traveler but if you have a family or kids like I do better to choose other hotel which has bigger room.
Ovearall, the hotel was nice, good and very helpful staff.
If I come back for a business I will stay in this hotel.

| "The people in the desk were not friendly, insisting that the check in time is 3pm not one minute earlier, the standard single room is very very small, I got a superior room across the street in hotel 6, for cheaper price and better view, also allowed me to check in about 12 O'clock, the only positive thing it is very clean. There are plenty of Vacancy around this area in July 2008. " |

you get what you pay for.basic room to refresh and
sleep.location wise it's ok as taxi fares are
cheap and metered.great for budget travellers.
