I love the Fullerton and have stayed there a few times before, which is why I chose this hotel over the many others in the same category. However, given that this is such a new hotel, I was amazed at deterioration of the fixture and finishings in the room. The plaster had cracked in many places and the bodge job which was conducted to cover up was really poor - you could see where they had just painted over the cracks with a thick strip of paint. There was a hole in the wall behind the telephone in the bathroom big enough for a two year old to reach the exposed wires behind. But, if you are looking for comfortable beds, large bathrooms and great service..... It still is one of the best options available.

| "The hotel was great, superb location for the river and amenities around about. It was very sophisticated and business like.
The room allocated on arrival at about 2 am was very small and was totally unsatisfactory to accommodate 2 people. I have stopped in luxury hotels around the world and not had to deal with this situation before. The room made my wife and me feel claustrophobic; furthermore if I had been on my own I would have still felt the same in this room. Even the bellhop who brought our cases to the room asked whether 2 people were stopping there, somehow I don't think he could believe it either.
After complaining to the hotel management the following day we were moved to a different location however we lost the view of the river that we had requested and paid for.
I can only say that if you are stopping at this hotel and arriving late at night be prepared to be placed in the only room that is left.
I do not like to be treated like this in any hotel however I must say for 5 star this was totally disgraceful.
The fact we were only stopping at the hotel for 2 nights and the first was a late arrival, this factor spoiled our stop in Singapore. My wife and I were tired at 2 am in the morning and neither of us slept during that first night.
A complete disgrace for a 5 star hotel...I will never stop there again.

| "The Service at the Fullerton is outstanding. On arrival after a 12 hour flight, we were greeted with the utmost courtesy, and best of all, at 07.00am, our room was ready!!!!
The facilities were excellent, the service outstanding. It was an absolute pleasure to stay there. " |
