The value of the room based on the rate was not very good. I assumed from the description of the hotel that the hotel was an upscale artsy 4 star hotel. I think it would be a stretch to say that this hotel was a 4 star hotel. The place was poorly constructed nothing in the "Fancy" modern "Ikea" room worked including the A/C. I felt like I was in a Ikea store when I stayed there! The room was also very small with little or no closet space at all. I had to leave my suit case beside the bed because the room was so small. I had to call the maintance people several times because the automatic controls in the room overheated and turned the A/C off and the room seemed to have a mind of its own. 19"Tv in a 4 star hotel? The room was dirty and smelled old. The breakfast was the only good thing about the stay. There was construction going on across the road and could be heard at all hours of the day and night. I would never consider staying at this hotel again. Spend the money and go to either the Pan Pacific or the Rendevous. The front desk personnel were young and rude and have no idea what customer service is or is about.

| "This was our 3rd visit and again OUTSTANDING value, service & staff. This is a great hotel and offers immense value for Singapore, only a 5 minute walk away is Clarke Quay and endless opportunities to dine on great cuisine. The location is a short cab ride to any main areas in Singapore. The great art vibe makes this hotel a good departure from the "normal" expected hotels and lends itself to a warm yet funky vibe not found in the mass hotel chains. I would consider staying no where else and I am rather hard to please, so it's a definite on my list. " |

| "The room was spacious, bright, clean and very modern in design (Glazzhaus Room). It had all the amenities needed. The breakfast was not great and could be better. The room we stayed in had an internet access for free which was great as I needed to use the internet to work on my MBA project. Overall, it's a very nice boutique hotel!" |
