"The building, interior, amenities and facilities are rather standard, nondescript, 1990s 5-star, but the quality of service is top notch. Staff were friendly, helpful, courteous and attentive - wonderful hospitality! I liked the quiet location of the hotel, with Robertson Quay and Clarke Quay a 10-20 walk minute away."

"EXCELLENT HOTEL AND VALUE FOR MONEY. THE STAFF WERE SO POLITE, FRIENDLY AND ATTENTIVE. FOOD WAS VARIED, PLENTIFUL AND WORTH STAYING IN THE HOTEL TO EAT THAN GO OUTSIDE."

"The room had suffered water damage and the wallpaper was hanging off one wall, with a large and smelly patch of mould on the carpet below it. There was a dressing table, rather than a desk, with a very hard dining chair. The dressing table had large handles on the fake drawers and the broadband lead was short, meaning the large handles were pressed into your chest if you tried to sit there and work. The bathroom had only a shower. The floor of the shower was pitted and in the pits was years of soapgrime. The English language TV channels were unwatchable due to the TV modulator being u/s (i was told this by staff) when I complained on arrival, i was told that all rooms had suffered similar water damage. On leaving a list of things for them to fix before going out the following day, I returned to find an offer of a better room. The new room was a suite and was very nice, but still only received 2 teabags a day (the previous room was a 1 teabag room), and still had no washing line. There is no lounge, no a la carte restaurant, just a piano bar and buffet restaurant (where i was informed that I could order a la carte). However both bar and buffet were in the foyer where hard floors and children running up and down laughing and shouting created a very unrestful surrounding. On sunday a large wedding party meant that the queue to get in the buffet for breakfast was 15-25 minutes long for most of the morning. Once in, it was almost impossible to see the food, let alone take some. Tea is already made and dispensed from a very large urn, which is continously boiling- making the tea a nasty grey colour and strange to the taste. It is about 20 minutes walk to the nearest mrt station, and although there are a couple of other hotels close by, many of the other nearby buildings are large blocks of HDB flats, so taxis are not as frequent as in more central locations. The building site next door starts work about 6.30am"
