| "Reasonable location. VERY small room (Standard room). Would be more comfortable for one person. Smallest bathroom I think I've ever seen. No minibar/fridge. Breakfast was in a dingy little back room and left a lot to be desired. Certainly not value for the money you pay but then that is Singapore from my experience." |

| "I recently stayed at Hotel 81 Bencoolen and was fairly disappointed with my stay, other than a great location. Hotel 81 was the first hotel under S$150 that wasn't booked a week from our stay date. The room was tiny. Aircon was slow to work. The bathroom didn't drain well, and there was mold on the wood door. On the upside, the staff was friendly and the location was walking-distance to great restaurants and the City Hall MRT station. If it was about half the price, it would have been a good find for two nights" |

| "we stayed in hotel81 bencoonlen st., good location its near bugis junction, sim lim and other shopping malls, but the room size is so small, we had a hard time walking around our room with all our lugage inside, its not worth the money we pay ... but in fairness the room and bathroom are clean..." |

| "I was bitten by some termines/insects, no idea what they were, red marks all over my chest and neck. The airconditioner is hopeless, warm in the room, stayed in the same hotel two years ago and they were much better then, this time round they are not no good at all. Too many people going in and out of rooms next to my room even late at night, the partition of rooms is too "thin". " |

| "The room is quite small, but nice with the wooden floor. The bed sheet and towels are white (as opposed to grey) and clean, although the pillow cases are grey! (So, I did not use them).
The bathroom and bath tub are clean too. The room floor however was a bit dusty, but it was okey for me as I stayed only one night.
The staff was also helpful and willing to accommodate (for the request of a room in a high floor).
It was good to have UBC available, but BBC and CNN were not available!
Keep up the good work, and improve some other areas.

| "Hotel 81 in Barcoolen rooms where ok but the bad experience I had was with the service...the hotel managers at the front desk are rude...I do recommend this hotel for budget travelers as long as you can get pass the rudeness." |

| "I stayed at this hotel 81 for 3 days.. it was nice and clean howevwer the location was not good for me.. its located at red light city area I prefer stay at another 81 hotel location but the cost was too expensive more than the one I stay at.. alswo noticed that the brerakfast wasnot inlcuded as I have always had breakfast included everyday in Bangkok,Thailand.. I am now aware that Singapore monetary is very expensive compare to Bangkok.. the prices of anything is almost like in U.S. However my staying in Singapore was very pleasant and enjoyable.." |
