| "Except for the fact that the toilet/ shower area was a bit cramped, and that skimpy-attired ladies were openly displayed outside the hotel at night, this is a place i would recommend to someone on a tight budget -- clean, complete, and safe facilities overall....expect to walk about 10-15 minutes to the nearest MRT station (Kallang). | "This hotel is mostly rented by the hour to the many prostitutes that stand just outside the door and all along the street. When we checked in we found long hair on the floor and the floor mat still wet from a shower. All night there were voices and loud steps along the hall. No way! Not even worth the low rate." |

| "Being situated close to the red light district is one thing, being blockaded completely in terms of entrance from 9 pm onwards every night by prostitutes whistling and tugging at you is another. I thought that it was in a "not so nice" area, but it was "professional" as it can be. First night it was funny, others it wasn't.
Aside from that, the service itself was ok, the room was INCREDIBLY small, and the sheets were clean although abused and had tears. Didn't understand at first why the 21" philips wall-bolted tv did not have a remote though, I had negative feelings about the message there. No storage WHATSOEVER in the room, no closet, dresser or a single drawer, just a dressing shelf. No room under bed. My small luggage filled the room and a real suitcase would have been a real problem. I had to leave my valuables EVERYDAY with reception, but at least they nicely take them and any small or big luggage you want to leave too. A hassle though everytime if you want something from your bags.
Forget the view as it's a close-quarters limited height block so you'll only see the street below the balcony in front of you. Overall I didn't care, I slept like a log and was out in the morning, but I certainly did not enjoy the hotel. No facilities whatsoever, even wireless internet was a hassle as it was touching the range of another hotel's service that you had to buy daily usage tickets from.
NO FAMILIES, COUPLES, OR CHILDREN EVER!!!!!!" |
