"Paid more than $300 U.S. per night for two nights in June and they wouldn't even provide complimentary bottled water. I arrived at the hotel late (after 1 a.m.) and I had to talk to three people (the last one a manager) in order to get complimentary bottled water. Very poor service and value for what I paid. Would never stay there again."

"We stayed in the same hotel for several times already. The staff is friendly, and helpfull. The hotel and the rooms are very clean. Good beds. Great location for us.Near to many shoppingmalls. "

"FOUND THE STAFF REALLY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. ESPECIALLY ENJOYED THE GREAT SELECTION AT BREAKFAST AND THE EVENING BUFFET"

"Excellent Hotel in a very central location,Ideal as a base to explore the city. Amenities nearby very varied and good quality. The shopping mall next door was great to while a few hours away in the evenings. The staff were all very polite, friendly and professional. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend the Intercontinental and its staff and also Singapore as a place to stay/visit. "

"The staff were very polite and always helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a wide range of choice, varied each day. It was included in the cots and very good value. The position for shopping, the harbour and getting around was very good. Most taxi trips were under ten dollars. We had a family of four travelling so it was economical. "

"Toilet water didn't run properly, which really made us (2 girls) annoyed. And it was unacceptable for 5 star hotel! Also, though we paid low fare it was so far walk from the entrance to the room. (We had our room at the last end of the long corridor) But on the other hand it was very quiet enviroment as we had corner room. Breakfast is simple but the best I have had so far. If I could choose I would like to have firm mattress, but was not sure that was the option given. Internet was so expensive to use 1 hour for S$30!!"

"We got the Peranakan rooms (floors 2 and 3) initially and was told these were more expensive and superior rooms than the upper floors. THe Peranakan rooms are old and dated, and poorly furnished. We found the higher floor (level 8) much more comfortable and befitting a 5 star hotel as ICH. Therefore we did not think the Peranakan room to be of value for money. "

"Great location - stay in luxury.Wonderful buffet breakfast. Rooms are well equipped, spacious and comfortable. "

"I have stayed in many hotels in Singapore, but this was the best to date. The rooms are of the colonial style, and the room we had was very spacious, with flatscreen tv and large bathroom. The location is fine."

"The bell service at reception need improvement, very poor especially at night."
