The Oriental hotel has everything one can reasonably expect in 5-star hotel operated by a renowned luxury chain. I was there for three nights during April 2005. The rooms, which are large enough, but not immense, are well-appointed, and the bathroom modern and resplendent with new fittings. The staff is unfailingly friendly and attentive. The breakfast, while adequate, is nothing special and was below the high standards of the rest of the hotel; however, the charming room it was served in and the ever-present staff made up for the less than superior food. The Oriental’s Marina Bay location is super. I liked the fact that, via connecting passageways, overpasses, tunnels and walkways, I could walk directly to many shopping centers and The Esplanade, without accessing the street or traffic. This hotel is a class act. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

| "Ask for a harbour view-it overlooks the Merlion,the City,the Colonial part etc The breakfasts are superb with a huge range.Drinks in the hotel are quite pricey.
Connects through the arcades to City Hall(MRT)and the Raffles Arcade." |

| "Fantastic hotel! Great location if want to be close to attractions yet away from busy Orchard Road. Lovely staff. Breakfast unbelievable, you'll need at least an hour to get through all their delights!
Great pool area, with regular free treats, such as frozen strawberries and smoothies!
Will definately be back to Oriental hotel again.A bit pricey but definately worth it!" |
