Probably not
The hotel is gorgeous. We absolutely loved the lobby, and the terrific service at the front of the house. The buffet breakfast was better than most, but the big dissapointment was the outright fraud we experienced at the Spa. My wife and I have two small kids, and were planning on taking turns - my wife first with a "facial" and then me with a massage. My wife's "facial" was to include an initial assessment to determine her needs, and then proceed. The "assessment" didn't occur, because the opening was she needed the most expensive option, $185 Singapore Dollars, which we were okay paying, assuming we were going to get something worth it. She was told that a litany of items were extra (e.g. "extractions"), so for $185, she got some lotions, a hot towel and a face massage she didn't want. She has gotten facials all over the world, and they always include more than this (without the unwanted massage), and when she complained that it was not what she wanted / signed up for and not worth it, the manager said she would call right back. We waited, and she never called. When we brought it up again, they finally agreed to remove 20% of the charges...but we're still very unhappy. After her experience, I didn't get the massage. Later, we saw local Singaporean prices for $30 Sing dollars for a facial lasing. 1.5 hours. Stay in the hotel if you're not going to use the Spa - it's a great hotel, nice food and decor, but terrible spa.

"Ask for a harbour view-it overlooks the Merlion, the City, the Colonial part etc The breakfasts are superb with a huge range.Drinks in the hotel are quite pricey. Connects through the arcades to City Hall(MRT)and the Raffles Arcade."

"Fantastic hotel! Great location if want to be close to attractions yet away from busy Orchard Road. Lovely staff. Breakfast unbelievable, you'll need at least an hour to get through all their delights! Great pool area, with regular free treats, such as frozen strawberries and smoothies! Will definately be back to Oriental hotel again.A bit pricey but definately worth it!"
