Stayed for only two nights at the Oriental, would have liked to have stayed longer for the breakfast and the very helpful, courteous staff. Whenever help was needed with directions,or lugagge or what ever, someone was there to lend a hand. The wonderful men in the red coats, (I don't know how they wear them in the heat)were always cheerful and helpful with the luggage and the taxis.
My only negative with this hotel is the location. It is a long walk to the shopping and a taxi is a must to everywhere else, and anyone who has stayed in Singapore knows how difficult it is to get a taxi at peak times.

| "The staff at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Singapore are among the best I've seen. They are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is amazing; it has a great varity of food selection from accross the region. The rooms, though not big, are wonderfully designed and decorated. Ask for a harbor view room, it has an amazing view of the harbor, the Mer-lion, and the city sky line. " |

| "Ask for a harbour view-it overlooks the Merlion,the City,the Colonial part etc The breakfasts are superb with a huge range.Drinks in the hotel are quite pricey.
Connects through the arcades to City Hall(MRT)and the Raffles Arcade." |
