| "My friend and I enjoyed our overnight stay at the hotel.
The front desk crew were accommodating. We were allowed to check in early - 7:30 am instead of the 2 pm schedule .
Breakfast buffet is satisfying." |

| "We stayed in the hotel from 25-27 October 2006. Although the room were we stayed was small and needs refurbishing, it was relatively clean. It had a window but of no use because it was blocked by the tennis court. The bathroom was small and towels were so old that needs replacement. Most of the staff were courteous, helpful and nice. However, I noticed that some of the staff were not nice to Aseans. The breakfast is not as good as I have expected. The room rate was a little bit expensive for the service they provide. The hotel is a little far out of the central area of Singapore. Although they have a scheduled shuttle service going out of the hotel, coming back is a problem.
Overall rating, a litlle below average. However, I observed that they are currently upgrading some facilites and I hope that next time, service will be better. " |

| "Room and breakfast OK. Considering that Metropolitan Y is somewhat out of the way, suggest that shuttle service be made available from the drop off point back to the hotel(shuttle is available only from hotel to Orchard Rd. - one way only) provided that guests are there at the scheduled time and are able to present proof that they are booked guests." |

| "We arrived early in the morning and asked if we could have breakfast as this was included in the price of the room, and we would be leaving at 5am the following day the manager said no
We had a long night flight and we tried to have a sleep but there was building going on out side the building.
I also thought the hotel was too far out of the city area and would not stay there again

| "this is my first time stay in YMCA,
from the front desk, they really kind,
i thought, coz i reserved the room via internet [asiarooms], then it would be difficult for me to get the room, and my thought was 100% wrong..
check-in really easy.
when getting to the room, oh gosh, its really big for 2 people, i reserved standard room and i get family room [in my opinion, coz it have one king size bed and one single size bed. and also have 29" TV, kitchen set [although i dont know it work or not coz i dont use them]
maybe, things that i not really like was the food, its just standard for me.but still its ok!
and the most things that i think minus poin to YMCA was the location to orchard, and mrt station. although, bus station only 2 minutes walk, but still for me its easyer using mrt.
but, hotel provide minibus to take guests to orchard.

| "The hotel is, as the YMCA name suggests, a no-frills hotel that offers decently sized room and even compplimentart breakfast. The first impression when I got there was wondering how old the hotel was. When I got to the room, I had a feeling of time-treaveling back to the 6-70's. But after that "adjustment", things began to match the expectation....the pool, the breakfast buffet that offered something like 10 items, but some are actually different from day to day (I was expecting to see the same 10 items everyday...)
So if you are going there for a quick get-away and won't plan to stay in the hotel for long, it would be a good choice. If you go there for biz, the lack of Internet in the room, in this day and age, might be a bit of a deterrent.

| "The location is not perfect but the public transport in SGP is OK so it wasn't really a problem.

| "The service was good. The front desk was well prepared and checking in was very easy. We needed to store our bags for some time and they were very accomodating. It was right on a major bus line and so it made getting around very easy. The restaurant breakfast was good and I even got a brownie and icecream treat after restaurant hours." |
