| "Arrived 2.30pm and were checked in in a few minutes by very friendly efficient staff.
We had a deluxe room,and were pleasantly surprised to see a separate shower in addition to the one over the bath.As we are seniors it was much easier for us using the separate shower. Plentiful supply of toiletries included,as were bathrobes and slippers.Ironing board and iron also supplied which was very useful as we had been travelling for two weeks by then.On our last day I discovered a button had come off a garment I intended to wear, so I phoned housekeeping and within five minutes they had sent up a sewing kit.
Buffet breakfast was included in our package and there was plenty of variety to choose from,both western and Asian,including curry.Scrambled eggs were in hot dishes but a chef cooked other eggs to order.
We had dinner a la carte each night and found service was good,quality of food also good,well presented and on warmed plates.
Only one minor complaint was that some areas of the hotel were very cold,especially in the bar. The room temperature was easier to control however.
In the basement are a number of eateries and bars including the Irish bar Muddy Murphys.
Location is ideal ,about ten minutes to the MRT as we found taxis are readily available at the front entrance, and cheap. We would certainly stay there again." |

| "We really enjoyed our stay at the Orchard Hotel in Singapore. The hotel was very beautiful and it is located in a prime position - very close to the main shopping strip.
The staff were particularly helpful, the food was amazing and the rooms were clean and not too cramped.
One problem we had was attempting to print an important and urgent email through the hotel. Their systems seem a little dated and it took over a day for the email to be printed and brought to our room.
The other thing I'd mention is that we found the in-house movies very expensive considering the movies were not new releases." |

| "I really had a wonderful/sress free stay in Singapore because i stayed in a wonderful hotel. I really gave me a very relaxing moment while in the hotel. I couldn't think of any negative views regarding Orchard Hotel. Could I suggest only for a variation of breakfast foods. I stayed there for three days and I ate the very same food for three consecutive breakfast. Maybe they can have an alternative or variety of food servings so that who are staying for days will not eat the same food foods every breakfast. Nevertheless, the service while eating is excellent." |
