Great value for money. I stayed in Excelsior tower that is slightly worn out but overall room was clean and good sized (actually I got upgraded room - bigger size corner room). Peninsula tower is already upgraded and looks much better but I think is more expensive. Breakfast was good and everybody might something to his like. That's true that the same is served everyday but ther is enough variety to feed yourself and not to be bored for a few days. The high grade is for location - shopping malls just around the corner, short walk to marina bay and espalande, literraly 5 min walk to fort canning park (oasis of silence), 3 min walk to MRT city hall station. Probably would stay again, book through asiarooms.com as they have the best rate for this hotel.

| "the peninsula excelsior singapore is very..very.. pooorrr... we are really absolutely very...very dispointed, with all from this hotel.
Room is not very good, the service is very suck.
and so noisy. i just telling to all people in the world, don't ever...ever you stay in this hotel.

| "This is a copy of our comments on hotel survey:-
Booking was for superior room - K.S. bed 175 AUD as on previous visit in June. That visit though brief was a pleasant experience. This time we were upgraded & charged 203 AUD for a deluxe room (not at our request). This was sub standard - with 2 small single beds, no clock, radio or bedside lights. TV remote so old the letters were worn off making it unusable.
The front desk were unable to rectify the situation other than to provide 2 rather unstable standard lamps.
We feel paying more for a lesser standard room is most unsatisfactory." |
