There were no bedside reading lights which we consider very important. There was also a light over the TV which kept being switched on and off as the switch was behind some pillows on the bed. But overall it was a pleasant hotel in a good location.

| "the peninsula excelsior singapore is very..very.. pooorrr... we are really absolutely very...very dispointed, with all from this hotel.
Room is not very good, the service is very suck.
and so noisy. i just telling to all people in the world, don't ever...ever you stay in this hotel.

| "This is a copy of our comments on hotel survey:-
Booking was for superior room - K.S. bed 175 AUD as on previous visit in June. That visit though brief was a pleasant experience. This time we were upgraded & charged 203 AUD for a deluxe room (not at our request). This was sub standard - with 2 small single beds, no clock, radio or bedside lights. TV remote so old the letters were worn off making it unusable.
The front desk were unable to rectify the situation other than to provide 2 rather unstable standard lamps.
We feel paying more for a lesser standard room is most unsatisfactory." |

| "rooms are run down. shows a lot of wear and tear. rooms area also small, but has decent facilities. Location is very good and service is good.
Breakfast spread is decent.
