| "My wife and I first visited Singapore over 10 years ago and visited Raffles to see what all the fuss was about and to try the famous Singapore Sling.
Afterwards we promised ourselves that we would stay there at least once in our life.
The opportunity came when my wife had a business trip to Singapore which gave us the opportunity to combine her visit with a short holiday for both of us. This October is our 35th wedding anniversary so the timing was perfect.
Our stay at Raffles was wonderful and we are going back soon. I don't think I could ever stop in Singapore again without staying at Raffles for at least a couple of nights.
The staff were friendly and made us both feel truly welcome. I now understand why Raffles Hotel has been so highly considered for so many years. " |

| "We had very high expectations of Raffles... and I am delighted to say they were exceeded. The service was warm and attentive, but not over-the-top. The hotel is beautiful, and impeccably maintained. We had a fantastic stay. I cannot recommend it highly enough." |

| "Everyone should have one chance to stay at Raffles (one of the world's great hotels)once in their life. Lucky me, this was my second time. I cannot find anything to criticise about this legendary place. From the wonderful colonial architecture, the beautiful rooms and the comprehensive amenities to the the impeccable service our stay at Raffles Singapore was a memorable experience. Don't hesitate, do it. You'll never regret it." |

| "Overall, I was disappointed with Raffles. I feel it is an hotel which is trading on its past glories. I have stayed in better hotels with more facilities and better customer service and paid alot less money. However, the cleanliness was good and the front desk staff were helpful. The dining room was cramped and there were birds flying around and landing on the buffet and none of the staff made any attempt to get rid of them. " |

| "This was a special once in a life-time event for us, but on our budget would probably not be repeated. If I were rich I would definitely go back as the Raffles staff went out of their way to make us feel special, and were more than happy to help us find solutions to meet our budget i.e. finding us a limo for around the same cost as a taxi.
If you go, try and spend all your time at the hotel; the pool area is small but very special AND open 24 hours a day, and the different areas open only to residents are full of wonderful art and antiques.
We were on route to a beach holiday so had only casual clothes which was not an issue as there are so many restaurants in the hotel catering to all tastes, so you don't have to dress up if you don't want to. The feel of the room is great, BUT the TV quality is dreadful, and the bathroom looks amazing, but the bath is suited only to a very short skinny person. The shower and basin areas were amazing.
The staff definitely made us feel very special without your feeling like you were expected to tip for every service provided.

| "Thev service is discrete but of the highest order and the general ambience is wonderful. The Long bar steakhouse was a little disappointing but the billiard room was excellent for our dinner. The staff were a credit to the hotel and the General Manager Robert can take the credit for a superbly run establishment" |
