Would I stay at this location
again:

Most likely
The room was clean and tidy. It also has a small refrigerator which suit our needs. When the refrigerator was not working, engineering team came within 3 minutes and replace it immediately. Very efficient service! Room is small but still acceptable. Bathroom is extremely small. We also loved the PC with free iternet access at the hall. However, since our room was street facing, street noise was heard in the room and sometimes the glass window was vibrating when a truck passed by. One more thing, the room does not have enough ventilation, when we first got into the room, they put too much air refreshner that end up irritating our nose for a while.

"Probably the worst hotel my wife and I have stayed in. Minimal breakfast, fausty smell in corridor, broken fittings in room and bathroom, leaking toilet, air con poor and not adjustable, painted walls chipped, our room was changed because of the noisy air conditioner towers outside but the second room while quieter was again small and drab. The worst complaint was the unhelpful female on the evening desk. Our first evening was spoilt by her incorrect advice as to where the SIA buses stopped, etc. "

"A bit of a mixup with computers down on arrival, and harrassed staff, so got a (reasonably big) room with no window, but this turned out to be a blessing as it was very quiet (others on street side said noise was a problem) Staff really tried to be friendly - only one reception man giving some others a hard time!- but the girl that promised to post my postcard and small packet has not so far come good, as the different guy on the desk promised she would - I did try to leave extra money to ensure postage was covered, but he refused it. This apart, good for the price, in an excellent location in Chinatown, and with free internet access. NB You can get the shuttle bus out from, but not back to, the airport for S$9 - but hotel really close to MRT"

"Excellent location to experience the real Singapore with great food and great local shops within walking distance. Absolutely in the middle of the overseas Chinese culture! Room is very small and many things falling apart but clean with good service."

"the room is small and dirty. The door lock didn't work. Poor breakfast. Staff are friendly and helpful. It is too expensive in terms of the facilities being provided."

"We stayed in an attic room, As previous reviews stated, there is no window. This is fine as we were only in it at night for sleeping. You do wonder what time it is though when you wake up with no daylight visible. Room was small and clean and cosy. Working fridge and TV. The toiet has a shutter door so obviously smells might be a problem but otherwise it was basic but useable. The roof leaked a little though. Location is great as very close to the MRT and right in Chinatown. Room is cheapest going in Chinatown really. There are several hotels all close together and obviously if you want a more hip room, there are choices available. Lots of reasonably priced restaurants, bars very nearby and a few great little furniture /house stuff shops as well."
