| "I stayed in a single room without attached shower early this month.The room size that i booked is perfecly for single traveler like me.The room and the bathroom are clean.The air-cond,television,wall fan..everything is well working.The location is great for those who come for shopping at the Orchard Road.Just few minutes walking.Also strategic because the room is near with Sommerset MRT.The sorrounding is peacefully because not a main road for Singaporean to go to work.So,its kind of quiet.In short,everything looks good except for the reservation.I called a month earlier and confirmed the room of SGD50.But when the times come,the room assistant told me that I didn't book.She told,maybe her boss forgot to jot down my booking.And the promise room is not available.Luckily,there is another room cost about SGD55 or SGD60 (i can't remember which price)available.I end up paying higher than what i suppose to pay.So, my advice if you want to book the room..please email to them because i think it is the assistant who take care of all the reservation.Anyway, I would still recommend the room due to its affordable price at a strategic location." |

| "I stayed at Singapore Budget Room for 5 nights, the rooms are quite clean and spacious. The attached shower and toilet were not so clean, but for budget travellers this should be ok. It's great to have wireless almost everywhere. At the moment the prices on their websites are outdated. I requested a single room with attached shower and toilet by email, which is 65 SGD according the website. I arrived late during the night, and they put a sign to my room. When I had to pay my room after 5 nights they suddenly said that it was 80 SGD instead of 65 SGD. They said the prices were outdated and even the cheapest room is 60 SGD (single without toilet). They finally decided to give it to me for 75 SGD, but still.
The hostel is located centrally near Somerset MRT and if you exit Killiney Road you're in the middle of the shopping centre of Singapore. Except for the price, it's worth a stay for budget travellers." |

| "very bad experience because eventhough i arranged for a friend to pay amy SGD200 deposit 3months before as required, they actually gave away my room to another guests. they also have the chick to offer me a bunk room for the same price. i booked and paid for a room with attached bathroom." |

| "Very strategic location. It's 15 mins within walking distance to Orchard Road and 5 mins walk from Somerset MRT station. Room and the bathroom (attached to room) is clean and opposite the hotel, there are a few restaurants and kopitiams. The neighburhood is safe and friendly as well. Those with a tight budget hotel, who does not expects too much of facilities and services, (only needed a place to rest, and to shower) this is definitely a good place for you." |

| "What i like most from this place is the surrounding area. It is located about 2 blocks from Orchard Rd, which you will end up at upper side of Orchard Rd; The Heeren if I'm not mistaken. And it is about 200 mtr from Somerset MRT (in front of Phoenix Hotel).
Although located near orchard, you will see a different atmosphere. Killiney Rd is more calm with a lot of small shops, one of them is the famous Killiney Kopi Tiam (I assume it is famous because it also has branch in Lucky Plaza, and a lot of people who drive cars eat their breakfast there). There's also a skate park besides the MRT Station, so you'll get the feeling of other normal activities in singapore aside from shopping malls :)
For Indonesian/Muslims, there's a 'warung M.Nasir' who sells nasi padang. And infront of the hotel there's also a restaurant that says they sell 'halal' food. There's also a 7/11 store and watsons all in the same row, so it is easy to fulfill your day to day needs, in case you left your toothbrush back home.
I think the area is categorized as 'elite' area, because there's a lot af villa there in Lloyd and Oxley Rd(sha villa, the botanic).
The hotel itself can be easily found, from Somerset MRT walk along infront of Singtel Building toward Killiey Rd,and go along the side of the building until you see a big number 110B and 112 B.
I stayed at the 112 B in room 4A and 5B on October 2007.There are two apartments, 110 and 112 B. The 110 furniture and building is newer, which faces direct sunlight so it is more sunnier and gets a lot of singapore sun(which is too strong in the morning but very warm in the afternoon). I prefer the 110 B but i got to stay in the old one. But it's ok though, considering i spent most of the day outside! The rooms was clean, and one of the room i booked came with attached toilet so it was convenient for me(and my family, there's 5 of us).
THere's enough bathroom supplies like soap and tissue, and it came with hot shower *yippee*. the air conditioner was okay, i have no problem sleeping at night. we can use the kitchen utensils,washing machine,detergents and the telephone (of course with responsibility and consideration to other tenants). There's also a TV in the room with Singapore and Malaysian tv station. I didnt bring my laptop so i didnt get a chance to try out the wireless internet connection.
All in all, i really enjoyed my stay there, and i really recommend this place for you who looks for value and doesnt spend too much time in your inn. The hotel was clean, and convenient enough during my 5 days and 4 nights there. The price is ok, but it;s not as low as being advertised here in asiarooms.com, although it is still cheaper than the other orchard hotels being advertised here. I definitely goin to stay here again on my next visit to Singapore.
