When I first made my reservation at the Summerview I hadnt looked at any of the reviews and after reading the reviews I have to say I was a little nervous as the majority of the comments were bad.
However having now stayed at the hotel I can confirm that my concerns were ill founded as were most of the comments.
Yes the hotel is old and yes the rooms are small but it was very clean, the staff were all friendly and the location is perfect.
I can only assume that the people staying here previously were expecting a 5 star hotel for a 3 star price. Singapore is expensive, it always has been, you get what you pay for and that is the case with the Summerview.
If you want somewhere to use as a base, that is clean and you only want to sleep there then it is great, if you want luxury, a pool and all the frills pay twice as much and stay somewhere else!

| "Good location to stay with traveller budget. Front desk is pleasantly nice. Breakfast is fine, not too much choice but taste is ok! However, the restaurant is rather small for the tight time in the morning. Btw, if I have a chance to be there, I prefer to stay here again. " |

| "the locations good, shopping center in walk distance, room quite small, quite old carpets make it old smelly rooms, it may be better if it is changed, at night not too many sound good for rest, this hotel suitable for people who need rest only and looking for budget accomodations.
