| "We had a very good experience checking in to The Swissotel Merchant Court. The rooms were fine, not exceptional but pretty decent. Breakfast was fantastic, couldnt fault it. Hotel position is very central and convenient for Chinatown, Clark's Quay, and the MRT. Easy trips by taxi, rail or foot to the Tourist areas.
One piece of advice for travellers to Swissotel Merchant Court is DON'T USE THE BAR. Singapore is expensive for drinks anywhere you go but two beers and two glasses of wine cost us 80 Singapore dollars. Expensive even by UK Airport hotel prices. Aside of that I would recommend the Hotel to anyone." |

| "This hotel was a great disappointment. While my room was large and reasonably clean, hallways were shabby and carpets dirty. At the time of my stay, the hotel was undergoing a major renovation. Hammering and drilling began at 10am and did not finish until 6pm. It was impossible to rest after my flight. The buffet breakfast was fine but overall the hotel represented poor value for money." |

| "This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the Swissotel Merchant Court. We just love the position of the hotel, the staff are all excellent, the food is great. And High Tea on a weekend is a must!" |

| "This is not a budget hotel but does offer outstanding value for money. It has a great riverfront location and is only a short walk to the MRT and Chinatown.
The Hotel facilties are like a resort, which is wonderful to use after a hectic day of sight-seeing or shopping. The hotel has a very large swimming pool surrounded by a nice tropical garden. There is also gym and spa. The breakfast is a great buffet of Eastern and Western dishes. The hotel also allows a late check out and use of the facilities until you need to catch your plane.
My only criticism is a minor one, and that is the hotel has a problem with ants in the room which were looking for sweet things. " |

| "A large hotel, and with good facilities: lovely pool overlooking the river. We had one pleasant dinner by the pool with a good value set meal. Good choice for breakfast, and again, you can sit on the terrace overlooking the river. " |

| "We have now stayed 3 times at this hotel and the servicelevel have been excellent. It may not be the cheapest hotel i Singapore but the service and location above the MRT station makes it excellent for stopovers.
We are very satisfied.

| "*Swiss* does not just mean *good quality* but *expensive*
...we (couple) arrived late at around 8.30pm (but previously informed about late check-in) - there was no double bed room & non smoking room available as we requested.
The rooms are just not what we expected. Very Smelly!!! (even in the floors and entrance) and very old. not just the style but everything.
phone was not working, water in the lavabo got stuck. there were hairs in the badroom floor.
As we requested for another room as this was really not what we expected, we had to ask again and again until we could talk to a manager. unfortunately she was not able to satisfy our needs - by just giving no options. If the hotel rate was not yet payd in advanced via asiarooms We would have changed the hotel immediately. Very very unfriendly and unhelpful management!!! (this may not apply for the very helpful concierges).
Situated very good. Clean OK - as expected by such a hotel.
Fact: We will never go to this hotel again." |
