We had a very good experience checking in to The Swissotel Merchant Court. The rooms were fine, not exceptional but pretty decent. Breakfast was fantastic, couldnt fault it. Hotel position is very central and convenient for Chinatown, Clark's Quay, and the MRT. Easy trips by taxi, rail or foot to the Tourist areas.
One piece of advice for travellers to Swissotel Merchant Court is DON'T USE THE BAR. Singapore is expensive for drinks anywhere you go but two beers and two glasses of wine cost us 80 Singapore dollars. Expensive even by UK Airport hotel prices. Aside of that I would recommend the Hotel to anyone.
