Good location, I agree.
But there are a bunch of hotels in the city hall area.
So, of course, Stamford is not the only hotel centrally located.
I stayed for 3 nights on 41st floor with harbor view.
Enjoyed very nice view over the heart of the city and Singapore river.
Room was clean and spacious.
But when I visited the standard room, it was less clean. I suppose it is because it has been used by more people.
Breakfast was not as good as I had expected considering the room price. Not much to choose. If you stay more than 2 night, you will find their breakfast rather dull and plain.
The biggest problem was that it was always hard to get a taxi at this hotel, even when you are ready to pay the extra charge.
If you are to take the subway all the time, there will be no problem. But, remember Singapore is a small city and taxi fare is cheap.
Since it is one of the most popular hotels in the city, ithe lobby wss very crowded and staffs were not very helping.
It IS a good hotel, but considering it is 5 star hotel with that amount of money, rather disappointing in a few things.
Nect time I visit Singapore, I would like to try Conrad Centenniel Hotel.
When I went there for the buffet, I found it very quiet and pleasant. The lobby and lighting were nice. The staffs were wonderful. Very well-trained and polite. Good location, too.
Or, I will just stay in Sentosa.

| "My sister & I stayed for three nights for a shopping spree.
My father sponsored our holiday & stayed in a seperate room. Our room was #768 & had no outlook at all. We could not appreciate the vista that most rooms would have had, including my father's on the same floor.
I felt both rooms, described on our confirmations as DELUXE should have offered better outlooks.
We were travelling with friends who booked DELUXE rooms with ASIAROOMS. They were accommodated on the 20th floor with much superior views.
We are very disappointed with this hotel as my father who in the past has frequently stayed there,had lead us to believe that our accommodation would be the highlight of our visit to Singapore.
Breakfast was great !

| "Room was clean and of a good size. Bathroom was mediocre at best. Position of the hotel is excellent being on top of a shopping mall and an underground station with the ability to travel most places quickly and efficiently. The service from the front desk was very poor, unhelpful and actually rude. We had to queue for over 20 minutes to just check-out of the room due to their inefficiency." |

| "We have a very nice stay in Singapore. Hotel staffs are very help. My only comment is there is no internet facilities in the hotel foyer as nowadays, not everyone is carrying a computer thru custom as it is very security conscious.

| "Compare to the rate and stars, I think Swissotel needs to improve the facilities, especially in the room. I stayed at room 864, and got not good view, it was better if they offered me good view (city/town, since that was my first time stay in there. Thanks" |
