My family and I occupied 3 rooms at the Sijori resort Sentosa from 5 - 11 June 2005. There were 6 people in our group. We found the all the staff to be very friendly and helpful.
We would like to make the following suggestions. During our time at Sijori the lift was not working for about 2 days and this made it extremely difficult for my father, who is 80yrs old, to have to climb the stairs to his room on the third floor. In all our three rooms we found the air conditioning unit was very noisy and as a result it was difficult to have a peaceful night sleep.
The condition of the rooms is very old and we suggest that refurbishment is done to the entire hotel.
There was not enough selection on the television, more news channels would be appreciated.
The breakfasts should offer western country foods as we did not partake of the Asian breakfasts.
The swimming pool was not kept clean and was full of litter and hair.
There should be a strict rule about noise from resort guests as everynight of our stay there was a lot of noise comming from the other rooms late after midnight.
We had a lovely time in Singapore but we would not stay at Sijori again for our future visits to wonderful Singapore. We feel that Sijori's star rating of 4 is misleading. We would give it a rating of 2 stars.
