| "The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of most of tourist attractions except Waterfront. Anyway; there are lots of taxi available for waterfront. The staff are very friendly, exceptionally helpful with good advise on local tour operator. I have a wonderful time staying in this hotel and will recommend to friends and relatives who come to Capetown." |

| "A small gem of a hotel on a leafy square in central Cape Town.It has recently been renovated but an atmosphere of a bygone time has been maintained.Overall excellent value for money in a city where first class hotels are becoming very expensive. Very good deal through AsiaRooms. Will certainly return. " |

| "It was a little bit hard to find the hotel when coming with car from Stellenbosch and Waterfron due to one way streets. Maybe Asia Rooms or the hotel could have sent directions by e-mail or textmessage.
In all a very nice experience with professional and helpful staff. " |

| "We were able to book in early. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. We had stayed at the Townhouse three years before and it was nice to see how many of the staff were still there. The rooms have been upgraded since our last visit and are modern and well appointed. The hotel is very central and a lot of the sights are easily walkable. We also stayed at a luxury hotel at the waterfront and far preferred the Townhouse." |

| "Excellent hotel with polite and efficient service. The area is quiet at night but taxis are readily available. Good breakfasts. It even has an indoor pool. Thoroughly recommended. " |

| "As noted in other reviews this hotel is conveniently located in Downtown Capetown. What I didn't realize is that downtown Capetown is pretty deserted at night. So walking around to find dinner or evening activities was really not an option. However, we had a car and found it very easy to get everywhere from there. The Hotel Staff were great about directions. During the day we were able to walk to many central tourist places like the Castle of Good Hope, Museums, Grand Parade, City Hall, etc and felt very comfortable doing so. The view of table mountain from our room was excellent!
I will note that the hotel continues to undergo major renovation. There was work occuring on the floor above us and 2 below us. One day we weren't feeling well and were in the hotel all day and it wasn't too bad in your room. They stopped work by 4:00 pm each day so there was no issue with that noise impacting sleep. Now the wind in Cape Town was another issue, but I don't think the hotel is responsible for that!
Overall I thought it was a great value. The tea tray in the room was replenished every day (with yummy cookies even). There was high speed internet and a very usable desk in the room. The linens were top quality and very tasteful. Room Service and Laundry were excellent as were the rest of the staff. I wouldn't recommend this for families primarily because the pool was indoor without loungers or much "play" room. " |
