Sunnyside Park Hotel Johannesburg was built in 1895. The Sunnyside Park has managed to keep all of its colonial charm whilst still provideing modern facilities that include an excellent fully equiped fitness centre, steam rooms, business centre, large pool with sun loungers, a baby sitting service, safe complimentary parking, a cigar/smoking lounge and a popular pub which is also open to the general public.
The small lobby is cosy and has maintained all of its traditional style and design. A small timber reception desk with marble top is on the left of the lobby and a cosy leather sofa is positioned opposite. Built in 1859 and originally a grand residential estate, the Sunnyside Park is a beuatiful colonial building. Only 2 stories tall, this listed building has kept all its original features including high ceilings, sash windows and is surrounded by the landscaped gardens.
