| "On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give this place an 8
It has everything you need and some.
The service personnel were friendly and helpful.
I wish they had posted on their web site that transformers were available, I would not have had to purchase one before I arrived.
Overall a great place!!

"This hotel is quite impressively situated with beautiful views over the waterfront, downtown Pusan, and the hills behind it. It IS on a good-sized hill, but it's a quick 10 or 15 minute pleasant walk to a number of market areas and the rail station (maybe another 5 minutes). It's a gorgeous hotel inside and outside, and the rooms are very well appointed. The beds are especially comfortable and soft, incredibly so for Asia. The room tended to be quite warm - and it was a little difficult to moderate the temperatures - but since we were there for lunar new year, we didn't mind coming back to a toasty room. The bathroom could have had a little more light, but it contained all the necessities, large bath towels, and an excellent shower. We will definitely return to The Commodore if Pusan is in our travel plans again."

"We were looking for a place to stay overnight after arriving from Seoul on the KTX bullet train and before departing the next day on the Beetle hydrofoil ferry to Japan. The Commodore was about a five minute taxi ride from both the Busan train station and the International Ferry Terminal. The architecture is whimsical and unique. The location is in a pretty non-descript part of town. We ate one meal near the fish market which is a short taxi ride away and worth the visit as a tourist. The other meals we had at the hotel. The western style restaurant was excellent for dinner. The Korean restaurant offered a breakfast buffet with multiple offerings, asian and western. The room is western style throughout and was a good value for the low price ($77/room) we paid. We were there at the end of December. For a longer stay in warmer weather I am sure the resorts along the beach to the north in Busan would be favored, but for a short stopover it was fine. Staff was very friendly and helpful."

"In my opinion, the hotel seemed totally misplaced, like it belonged closer to the coast where it could stand by itself, or a private area like a country club. The hotel had everything I could need - if I just wanted to stay at the hotel; however, I was in Busan to explore the city, which seemed a little inconvenient because of its awkward location. Overall, not a bad hotel."

"A great place with a funky faux Oriental-massif decor, the sort of coffee shop that reminds one of Lost in Translation (and has pretty good cheeseburgers to boot), and helpful staff. The only minuses were a bunch of mosquitoes that stuck around after I opened the window to my 15th floor room (use the screen) and a buffet breakfast staff that tried to hustle me out the door before I'd finished because the place was closing. Rooms on the 15th floor have balconies and are tucked under the pagoda-style roof. "

"Very nice hotel in the heart of Busan. I was a little scared when I saw the outside but once you go inside you have nothing to worry about. The rooms are very cheap by Western standards. It was very clean and the room was more than big enough. Within walking distance of both the Busan Tower and Texas Street."
