"The Bad Do not walk to the hotel from Jagalchi Station unless you've packed light and in the mood for fish. Taking a cab from the station will cost about 2500 - 3000 WON which is very reasonable. As it is located within the area of Jagalchi market, the air around the area tends to be abit fishy. Not good for tourists who can't stand the smell of fish. However, once you're in your room, its perfectly fine. The Good The enormous room space and bed is perfect for lovers and couples to enjoy. The bathroom is spacious and the bathtub is able to fit a couple of asian built. Soap, shampoo, moisturizers and all the necessary stuff (hairspray etc...) are provided. There's even a balcony to enjoy a simple candle lit evening. The staff are friendly but speak limited english though this is not a big problem. Out of all the places we stayed in, my gf liked this one best. Do give it a shot."

"The room and hotel looked great and were clean. Large signs out front in English. Just know you are on your own. I guess I expected the front desk staff to know at least some english, or for things/directions in the room to be labeled with some english-my error. The staff understood NO english, except the wonderful young man on Saturday who spoke some and saved the day. He insisted on getting us a cab and directing us to the correct beach. They forgot to clean our room one day, so we had no clean towels and our trash can was overfull. Front desk staff just looked at us when I asked why the room had not been cleaned(we left at 9:15Am and were gone until 4:14). Apparently they do not have wash clothes. Great view from the deck. The bridge lights up at night and is really pretty. The problem is the fish boat parked under our window started yelling directions to their staff on the speaker system at 6:45 AM for about an hour. The resturant was closed and we could not find out why. Looked like it was under construction?? The voucher did not have the hotel's address and NONE of the 8 cab drivers we used while we were their could locate it even with the address. You have to go down what looks like an alley to get to the hotel. They all had to call to get directions. The hotel is in the middle of the fishing district so it will smell like fish and you have to go about 1-2 miles to get to an area that does not look like the slums. Good luck with the A/C as nothing was in English. I pushed buttons and finally got some air, not cool air, just air. We had a couple unlock our door and walk in on us the first night at about 11:45PM. Talk about scary! It is a long cab ride to the beaches ($18,000 won each way) We also had red bumps all over when we got home, not such what they were from, but we have an idea. Next time we will stay on or next to the beach."

"My friends and i stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. When we first arrived at the hotel we were all surprised at how big the rooms were. All rooms were slightly different when it came to design, but we all had a big bathroom, big rooms, a nice balcony with an incredible view, and additional little things in the rooms. The hospitality is awesome as well. The workers are great in that they helped us get around when we needed help. The English is not spoken that great but they try their best to give you suggestions and how to get places. One of the best things that the hotel included was free instant noodles. My friends loved this just because it was convenient and great when we were lazy to go out to get any snacks. Theirs also a little restaurant outside. Its an outside restaurant that was recommended by one of the workers at the hotel. It was of course Korean BBQ style, but we grilled fish and vegetables and wrapped them in lettuce. It was great. The overall experience was great. You should all check this place out if you decide to go to Busan."

"The room was great - a little more "romantic" than anticipated! Location is out of the way - taxi drivers had a hard time finding it, I think it's a newer hotel. I would not recommend this for travelers hoping to get advice/assistance from the front desk - English was not a strength of this "tourist" hotel. If you can manage Busan on your own, the rooms are beautiful and the view is even better!"

"I am in the US Navy on a ship and before we pulled into Busan, a friend told me about asiarooms.com. A whole bunch of people from the ship booked this hotel @ $59/night. Now, I was thinking to myself that cheaper is not always better. However, when we arrived at the hotel (after several taxis took us the wrong way) I was very pleasantly suprised. The rooms were very spacious and modern. Mine was equipped with a nice sized TV and a computer with internet service. Bed was queen size typically asian in firmness. Bathroom was very nice. Any personal hygiene products you can think of were available. I will say that the hotel was probably a love hotel, but very tasteful and the only real giveaway was the condoms at bedside. Maybe this is normal for Korea but I don't think so. There is NO beach near the hotel. You are right on the water though with a nice view of the harbor. Just don't look down as it is located in the fish market area (very commercial). The location was not as centralized as some other hotels but once we figured out where we were at, it was very easy to get around. It's about a 20-30min walk to the International Market and maybe 45-1 hour to Texas street. A cab costs about $5 U.S. from the hotel to Texas street. Overall, I was very happy with the accomodations and will definately book a room here the next time I'm in Busan."

Comments:

Wow, wow, wow! This hotel is great value for money! The suite (70 000 won) is HUGE, with a double and single bed, and huge living room and bathroom (2 TVS, 2 fridges and a computer). The place is clean and new, and the staff were friendly (though the level of English was not that hight). The pictures on this site just don't do it justice. The only downside is that it isn't in the hustle and bustle of Busan station or Haeundae beach, but I think that is what made the hotel wonderful. It was away from the business, and you could sit on your balcony & watch the comings and goings of the smaller ships in the harbour. If you love harbours then this place is PERFECTLY located! The hotel is definitely in the the less fancy side of time, but safety isn't a problem in Korea. It is only a 2000 won (around $2) taxi ride to the nearest site (the hotel will call a taxi for you), and about 4000 won to Busan station which is where the Busan City Tour bus starts. It just means a long time on the subway to get to Haeundae beach. I would definitely stay here next time I am in Busan!
