Concorde Hotel in Gyeongju is located in very picturesque settings and is located
on the waterfront of the beautiful Bomun Lake. The hotel is also very conveniently
located and in only eight kilometers away from the nerve of the city. The railway
station of Gyengju city is also some ten kilometers away thus one can say without
much doubt that the hotel is ideal for both business as well as leisure travelers.
There are quite a few places with in the commutable distance of the hotel which
people can check out. This includes the Bulguk sa Temple which was originally
built in the beginning of the sixth century. The temple has stood the test of
time for some thousand years or so till it was destroyed by the Japanese towards
the end of the sixteenth century.
The temple received a major facelift when it was declared an international
cultural property in 1995 by UNESCO. If you are interested in folk crafts and
artisans then you can check out the Folkcraft village and to catch a glimpse
of history as it is you can pay a visit to the Gyeongju National Museum.
Anap chi Pond is also a major attraction in Gyeongju which you can enjoy during
your stay at the Concorde hotel in Gyeongju. Another interesting thing which
people can check out is the Chonmanchong tomb which is an important tourist
site.
If your interest lies in the stars then the best place to go is the Cheomseongdae
an astronomical observatory which is supposed to be the one of the oldest in
Asia and the oldest in East Asia. It was another wonderful contribution by the
Silla Dynasty and perhaps gave an idea of the scientific bent of mind the rulers
of the dynasty had at that time.
If you have a scientific bent of mine today then you will not settle for any
other hotel other than the Concorde Hotel in Gyeongju
