Would I stay at this location

Most likely
The Kolon was generally okay. I actually expected more from the hotel based on the online reviews. After talking to some friends, I learned that we were probably placed in the old part of the hotel, not the renovated part! No wonder!!! Overall, it served it's purpose. We didn't use any of the facilities as we were only here for one night. My other half probably would've played golf and I probably would have used the hot spring spa had we stayed an additional night. The hotel is located pretty close to a city bus stop so getting around is fairly simple. Gyeongju is a beautiful city, I will probably return.

"Big rooms, nice restaurant, great view. Facilities were not great. Even in very cheap motel rooms in Korea I have found in-room PCs with internet, water coolers and good A/C - here there was none of that. A/C was not easily controllable, there was water in the minibar but not free, and there was no internet provided (except wifi but I don't take my laptop on holiday!) Also the hotel pool was empty of water, even though it was June and sunny. Certainly not a bad place, but hardly a 'premium hotel'. Later we checked into a motel in Gyeongju whihc provided all of the facilities mentioned above, for 40,000 won/night!"

"Fabulous room with a breathtaking view of the mountains, the hotel golf course...Room size is excellent. The hotel has excellent restaurants. Good facilities. Free internet service, hot springs, sauna, pools, and golf course (if you have the time to golf). It's a short walk from the hotel to the Bulguska temple. The bus stop is a five minute walk from the hotel entrance (though I didn't use the bus). I prefer this location to the more touristy Bomun Lake area. Definetly 5-star luxury. Most of the hotel staff speak some English. I found them very helpful and polite. A pleasurable stay. I would certainly stay there again. The location of Kolon Hotel is excellent. Most rooms will have a breathtaking view of the beautifully maintained hotel grounds and the mountains in the distance. I had an enjoyable stay. "

"This hotel had nice views and good facilities but I am not convinced it was worth the money. Fine if you are a wealthy business traveller but very expensive otherwise."

"Very nice accommodations.  Very clean.  Grounds well kept.  Service very good.  Staff very helpful.  Walking distance to temple and shopping.  Food in hotel restaurants good.  Bus transportation to downtown and other attractions at entrance to hotel."
