| "The room had a really small window and very poor lights in the room. The location was very good though. The hotel was ok but three nights in it was enough for me." |

| "The main interest of Best Western Dogdaemun hotel Seoul is its location close to Downtown and just in front of the subway station. Welcome is friendly but the facilities not sufficient (breakfast is very poor in spite of waiter kindness and small price, internet access is charged, etc.). It may have been a good an convenient hotel in the 80’s or 90’s for travellers, but now it is now outmoded." |

| "The location of Best Western Dongdaemun Hotel in Seoul is very convenient - the subway is located just outside the hotel and the shopping area (both retail and wholesale) are within about 5 minutes walk. There are also many local eating places located next to and around the hotel. If you have problem sleeping, there are open air night markets (open daily except Saturdays I think) and open air local eating stalls around the hotel area which are interesting and fun. Hotel decors, furnishings and amenities are basic and room/bathroom is clean and for the price and location - cannot complain - also very easy to move around Seoul either on foot or subway. But the double bed room is very small - if 2 persons share the room it's a little too 'cosy'! The front desk staff are helpful and can converse in English fluently and service staff are prompt. " |

| "This hotel is quite good but don't hope to get any points or miles if you book with asiarooms.
I used to stay in a other bestwestern through asiarooms and I got the miles because I am a bestwestern member.
But in this hotel, the manager did't want to give me the miles because I had booked with asiarooms and not directly with bestwestern. I was a little disapointed." |

| "Superb location, exit the subway and it is right there. Handy to the Dongdaemun market and opposite the Dongdaemun gates, this hotel is a hop skip and jump to all the must see's of Seoul.
As mentioned in other reviews the hotel strangely only provides 1 bath towel per room despite having made a reservation for 2 adults.
Great for the budget traveller." |

| "Location is superb! 1 min walk from the hotel entrance to the subway gantry. 2 lines available - Lines 1 & 4. For shopping bargain - go to Dongdaemun wholesale centre which is about 5 stories in height. Nearby Dootah's items are not cheap as compared to same items sold elsewhere in Seoul.
For a clean room to rest at night & its proximity to the subway stations - it is a very good choice! Hotel reception area & cafe look presentable but rooms are in need of refurbishment.
There is wireless internet access in the hotel & also a computer on the 1st level for free internet access (30 mins per usage).
As mentioned in earlier comments, only 1 bath towel per room. We requested for another bath towel the first night, staff gave us 2 hand towels instead. Read all instruction carefully before you use the toiletries basket as some items are chargeable.
We stayed in the hotel for 6 nights. Staff are slow to warm up. Due to language barrier, I didn't know I wasn't supposed to use the computer on 1st level for more than 30 mins so staff wasn't happy with me on the 1st night.
2nd night, we were on a trunk call with our HK friend while there were several calls from Singapore that weren't able to be put through to us, there was loud banging on our room door that shocked us, we thought there was some emergency evacuation....We think the staff wasn't angry with the numerous calls that night but just an excitable person & the manner in which he 'informed' us is strange in accordance to our local culture.
When our HK friend joined us the last 3 nights, we were upgraded to a suite at a reasonable cost. From then on, we had enough bath towels to use without having to ask for more than 1 bath towel.
Manager could understand & speak English pretty well, other staff could also understand very simple English. Staff were warmer towards the end of our stay as I feel they are slow to warm up.
We felt welcome on the first day as we were received by the manager personally. There are no steps to negotiate if you arrive at the hotel via taxi. Airport Limousine is available near Dongdaemun Stadium Subway station & not Dongdaemun station. There are steps to take at the subway station (on one side) if you decide to go to this hotel via Airport Limousine. However, there is one exit near Best Western that has a lift- can't remember the line number but it is the subway entrance to your right as you exit from the hotel.
Hotel charges 60,000 Won for a cab to Incheon Airport. It could easily take 4 persons in the cab as it is fairly big." |

| "On the positive side the hotel is very easy to get to by airport bus and right next to a major subway station. Also only a few mins. walk from Dongdaemun market. HOWEVER it was built in 1960 (originally had another name), the room I stayed in seemed not to have been refurbished since. During my 2 day stay the shower curtain fell on my head, the bedroom light switch fell off, the bedroom door wouldnot unlock and I also experienced problems with the toilet ! Some of the staff were very nice others clearly didn't want to help non Korean customers... " |

| "We usually stay at this hotel due to location proximity with business contacts. This is not our first time staying at this hotel.
Would you kindly feedback to the hotel on :
1)please supply 2 bath towels instead of one for 2pax
(they usually do but not this time)
2)the carpeted floor is extremely dirty (every time I stay). If you put a plastic bag/luggage on the floor, all the hair, dirt would stick onto it. " |
