"Positive aspects: 1. Clean room with relatively new fittings. 2. Only 2 mins to the nearest subway station. 3. 5 - 10 mins walk to restaurants. Negative aspects: 1. I had to fight for the double room that I booked, as I was given a twin room upon arrival (looking at the reviews, this seems to have happened several times in the past). 2. The price of laundry is astronomical, e.g. 7000 won for a shirt, 5000 for a t-shirt. Laundry shops cannot be found outside (Koreans all do theirs at home). 3. Misinformation on the price of telephone calls. I asked how much it would cost to call a local number, but when I get the bill, it was an international rate as I called a local mobile. No apologies for the misinformation. 4. Lunch buffet - hotel guests do not pay the VAT. Given that I had just checked out before I had the buffet, I was no longer eligible for this. Generally speaking, the room was fine, however, the other aspects above (most of them being minor things), made my stay unpleasant. The front desk staff offered no apology for putting me in a twin room or for any of the other problems. For the sake of a few won, they don't want to make the guest leave with a good impression of the hotel. Finally, there is very little in the immediate vicinity of the hotel - you need to walk 10 - 15 mins for a sign of any restaurant."

"This hotel is indeed very new. It's definitely worth the money spent. Not too sure whether it's a promotion but paid around 115SGD for a standard room and the room is equivalent to a 4 star hotel. Is very impressed by the room i would say. As for the location,it's a 3mins walk to the subway station and thus, you can never lose your way and the walkway to the subway to Eujiro 4 ga can actually lead you to Dongdamun! This is the only plus in terms of location. The hotel is located in the middle of some industrial (shophouses selling lightings)and is pretty quiet at night though. You have to get around to get meals though. I would summarise (perfect score for room, price and overall hotel but location wise - average for it's near to the subway station but not convenient to shops and restaurants."

"An almost new hotel with excellent facilities and an even better location. The Best Western Premier Kukdo is located in between two metro stations, Euljiro sam(3)-ga and Euljiro sa(4)-ga, which are both prominent interchange stations. You can walk to Dongdaemun (10min) and Myeongdong (15-20min) and there is both a police post and a post office just down the road. The deluxe room we had was spacious and comfortable and in an open-concept (wash basin is not in the toilet) but the design is pleasant and the room is still very clean. Lovely views of the city against a mountainous backdrop from where we were on the 19th floor. WIll definately choose this hotel again."

"Absolute value-for-money stay. Even if surrounding area isn't too nice, the subway makes every part of Korea very accessible. The rooms are very new and spacious. Will stay here again in the future"

"I'm happy to stay at this hotel but one important thing I find it unbelievable is that the guest rooms of the whole hotel do not have air con when its web tells me that each individual room has its own temperature setting which is correct but to my big unpleasant surprise the hotel don't let the guests have air con. The room temperatue which show from the thermostat said 26c (after using hair dryer 27c). Although there are windows that can open, the temperature was 26c. We had to borrow a fan from housekeeping and listened to the traffic noise. I asked the front desk, the guy felt surprised that we had no air con, he called to check and explained it is the hot enough yet. My God! It was early June (summer season in Seoul). While I'm an environmental friendly person, I think it is reasonable to have air con in a hotel room especially over summer season. I found it quite a relief when I only had to bare in that hotel room for 3 nights. First night room temperature 26c, next two nights 23c. Apart from the air con problem and the quiet street at night. I've found this a good hotel. Clean, lots of drawers, bright, room amenities are good and convenient. Conceirge can communiate in English and very helpful."

"no air condition supply , i was told during this time no air condition till summer. It is quite hot and dry during the night time NOT health to sleep in a closed room without any ventilation."

"I was quite taken aback when I arrived to find the Hotel Lobby on Level 2. Unique, like a Boutique Hotel. Plus points;Central location-walkable to Dongdaemun, Namdaemun and Insa-Dong. Airport Limo Bus stops right in front of hotel every 20 minutes. Subway is barely 100-meter away and connected all the way to Dongdaemun. Minus:Biz Center is always not manned. In-House Dining is Limited in Variety, Costly and Not very good. Bottled water SHOULD BE provided daily to guests. But Thumbs Up to the new hotel because of location and will definitely recommend to all."

"nice hotel, good value for money, not a prime location but still only a few minutes walk to all the main attractions"
