An almost new hotel with excellent facilities and an even better location. The Best Western Premier Kukdo is located in between two metro stations, Euljiro sam(3)-ga and Euljiro sa(4)-ga, which are both prominent interchange stations. You can walk to Dongdaemun (10min) and Myeongdong (15-20min) and there is both a police post and a post office just down the road. The deluxe room we had was spacious and comfortable and in an open-concept (wash basin is not in the toilet) but the design is pleasant and the room is still very clean. Lovely views of the city against a mountainous backdrop from where we were on the 19th floor. WIll definately choose this hotel again.

| "Great value, size, cleanliness and view ...especially from the 19th floor! The only minus is the limited menu and expensive meals in the restaurant. There aren't any other little coffee shops or fast food eateries in the neighbourhood." |

| "My wife and I stayed three nights at this hotel on our first visit to Seoul. I must say that the room condition is excellent. I particularly love the wooden strip floors, something that is rare for the price we paid. We got a good bargain from AsiaRooms. The washroom was in excellent condition, with very nice toilet. Two subway stations are nearby, Euljiro-4-ga (about 50m to the right as you exit the hotel) and Euljiro-3-ga (about 150m to the left as you exit the hotel). A very convenient location. Also, the surrounding is not too noisy as opposed to the Gangnam area. The front desk and concierge were helpful as well. They can converse in English reasonably well. " |

| "Very convenient location; close to subways, and very short ride to Seoul Station.
Room furnishings were in excellent condition, with sufficient room for putting clothing away.
Only negative: while concierge was trying to be helpful, they did not provide very useful information on more than one occasion." |

| "A clean hotel with very contemporary interior design. Accessability to and from Incheon airport is very covenient. Airport bus stops right in front of hotel. Subway stations are 1-5 minute walk away. Location is good, though not many good restaurant nearby,Dongdaemum shopping area is 15-20 wminute walk away. Hotel provides shuttle bus but only one-way to a few nearby subway station. This can be improved to include shuttling back to hotel as well, escpecially for those carrying bags after shopping. Overall, a nice hotel for a short stay. " |

| "Positive aspects:
1. Clean room with relatively new fittings.
2. Only 2 mins to the nearest subway station.
3. 5 - 10 mins walk to restaurants.
Negative aspects:
1. I had to fight for the double room that I booked, as I was given a twin room upon arrival (looking at the reviews, this seems to have happened several times in the past).
2. The price of laundry is astronomical, e.g. 7000 won for a shirt, 5000 for a t-shirt. Laundry shops cannot be found outside (Koreans all do theirs at home).
3. Misinformation on the price of telephone calls. I asked how much it would cost to call a local number, but when I get the bill, it was an international rate as I called a local mobile. No apologies for the misinformation.
4. Lunch buffet - hotel guests do not pay the VAT. Given that I had just checked out before I had the buffet, I was no longer eligible for this.
Generally speaking, the room was fine, however, the other aspects above (most of them being minor things), made my stay unpleasant. The front desk staff offered no apology for putting me in a twin room or for any of the other problems. For the sake of a few won, they don't want to make the guest leave with a good impression of the hotel. Finally, there is very little in the immediate vicinity of the hotel - you need to walk 10 - 15 mins for a sign of any restaurant." |
