| "We were very disappointed in the hotel over all. For what we paid, we were expecting a nice hotel and good service. The staff appeared busy or annoyed any time we tried to talk to them. The computers in the business centers were antiques and took too long to load the pages. The room was hot all day and night. The windows were very small and could not cool the room at all. We repeatedly called and went down to the front desk to ask for the air conditioning to be turned on, but it rarely helped. One night it was on for only about 3 hours. We couldn't sleep because it was too hot. One of the 3 in our party slept on the floor under in vent trying to stay cool enough to get even a few hours of sleep. She was miserable all night, every night.
We could have stayed at a love motel for cheaper and had better service. We will never stay in this hotel again and will discourage all of our friends from staying there." |

| "It would be helpful if someone on the reception could speak English, especially if the hotel is offered for international guests.
Room looked somewhat run down (example: Wall paper with mold in small amounts and wall paper peeling off the wall). Window were in very bad condition because you couldn't even really see through them due to scratches and discoloring.
It was nice to have a refrigerator.
We mostly picked out the hotel due to location the subway lines that went to our friends houses." |

| "The room that we got is probably the smallest. We only had walking space for one. It was a queen sized bed and everything was very cramped. The location is also not ideal. We thought it was near the subway but it's actually about 5 mins from either Angguk or Jong-No 3 station. The hotel is old and the staff don't speak much English. We'd stayed another 3 nights at a hotel in heart of Myong Dong and paid the same price. It is very much better and modern. We should've stayed at this Myong Dong hotel in the first place." |

| "I enjoyed my stay at the Crown Insadong. The room was small, but clean. Clean sheets, comforter, towels. The proximity of the Crown to the main street in Insadong was fabulous. Location wise it's excellent and I would stay there again. Hair dryer and iron -- available in the hotel, but bring your own kettle if you'd like one. The hotel staff speak some English and were very polite and helpful. It's a 5 minute walk to Anguk station. There are two computers in the lobby area with free internet access and a Money Exchange. I had a comfortable stay. One pays as much for the location as the room. I would stay there again. " |

| "The only good thing about this place is the location - it is literally less than 5 mins walk to Insadong and about 10 mins to the nearest metro station. The palace is also within walking distance.
The hotel is a little run down, the carpets look dirty and the corridors are dark & dingey.
When we first arrived they were going to give us a twin room - we insisted on a double. The double room was tiny, the A/C didn't work and there were mosquitos in the room. The bed was awful - we could not sleep all night.
The next day we asked to change rooms and the staff obliged - thankfully the hotel had emptied out and we got a twin which was a lot better - the beds were comfortable and room was huge in comparison.
The hotel is OK for budget travellers, but next time we'll probably stay in one of the many new service apartments in town. " |
