The room is rather spacious. However the maid service which was supposed to be every 2 days was nowhere to be seen. No interenet service in room. Staff cannot communicate in English except for the manager who is only on duty one shift a day. What that normally takes 2 minutes to communicate will take more than 15 minutes !! The staff are eager to help but all they can do is smile because they have difficulty understanding you.Bathroom decor is sad. No toiletries provided except for 2 pieces of hand soap. Bath towels are not changed regularly. The elevators ( only 2 for the whole building ) takes forever. Hot water not very consistent in room as temperature fluctuates internittently .The plus points are the kitchenette to do your own cooking, coking utensils and cutleries, filtered water, large comfortable bed ( but pillows are too small and soft ), washing machine ( buy your own detergent at lobby ) and ample storage space for your clothes. It is a relatively short walk ( about 5 mins )to Gang nam subway station. Takes awhile to get to downtown Seoul as most of the time you would need to change subway lines at least once. Plenty of pubs and eateries in vicinity. There is a 24 hrs convenience store opposite hotel. If the rates are lower, this may be a good alternative hotel.

| "The location was perfect, and the guys that take care of parking was second to none. We were there from Dec 29 to Jan 5, 2006. Absolutely no complaints. This is not a hotel where they cahrge you for all kinds of services which most us never use. But, all the amenities and the facilities are there, including steam sauna in your own shower stall!
Just out side the door there are restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, everything within walking distance. Althogh we rented a car and drove, it was nice to be only a block away from a major sub way station: Gangnam! Location, price, cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff make this "hotel" the best value in town. We will definitely book again. A hearty breakfast was included in our rate as well. " |
