The location of the Savoy is great for anyone who wants to do a lot of shopping in Myeongdong. There are restaurants all around, and the subway station is also just a couple of minutes away. The only problem is the fashion outlet just opposite the hotel that blasts really loud music from 11am till abt 10pm.
It may not be the most luxurious of hotels, but it's a good choice for shopaholics.

| "Location was perfect - in the heart of Myung-dong. The only downside to this is, it gets rather noisy after 9.30am! We were on the 8th floor (the top floor) but we could still hear the street vendors and the loud music. So, if you intend to sleep in late or sleep early (before 11pm), think twice about choosing this hotel.
For bugdet travellers like us who are taking the airport limousine bus, be prepared to walk (10 mins) to the bus stop at the other end of Myung-dong. Not the easiest thing to do with luggage, on a cobbled street and hundreds of people on the same street!
Internet service is available only at the business centre, by using their desktops. It is chargable, about 0.50USD for 10 mins. For your informtation, there is no wireless connection in the room.
Service was alright - they delivered what was expected of them, so we have no complaints.
My wife and I will definitely consider staying at Savoy again should we return to Seoul!" |

| "stayed 4 nights here with my adult children and we were very pleased with everything. The front desk staff were very helpful and had a good understanding of english. The location was very central to sight seeing and your right in the middle of a great shopping area. The breakfast buffet was very good and we ate there every morning. For me the only draw back was how hard the beds were. I would have no problem coming back to this hotel to stay." |
