I decided to stay at the Sunshine Hotel for an extended trip to Seoul after reading some good reviews. I'm not sure if these folks were talking about the same hotel because I certainly did not find my stay there very comfortable.
As a non-smoker, I found it very uncomfortable that cigarette smoke permeated throughout most of the floor and into my room. Additionally, I found that the room cleanliness and décor could have been much improved.
On the plus side, the location of the hotel is great and the hotel staff was very helpful. However, I would think twice about staying here again.

| "Our nine day stay at Hotel Sunshine was pleasant throughout. The location of the hotel is good, while visibility from the main street was only okay. This did not represent any problem since every single cab driver knew the location of the hotel so we did not have to explain in broken Korean. Cleanliness was outstanding and facilities, with a restaurant, bar, nightclub, tailor and gift shop was outstanding.
Hotel arranged transportation to the airport for us that was very, very reasonable and extremely easy.
We throughly enjoyed our stay." |

| "The Sunshine hotel was fantastic for the money. Very good location if you don't mind staying in the city center. Very near the Hyundai Department Store and all of the bars and restaurants in Gangnam-Gu. The hotel was very new, clean, and friendly. The sheets were always clean and the bed was very comfortable. Ask for a room on the 7th floor or in the front so you don't have to face the wall. Free internet downstairs. The spa was being renovated when we were staying there. The front desk is friendly but not everyone speaks English. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay. I would also stay there again in the future." |
