Very close to the area of Insadong, which is a area with a lot of resturants and you will get a "oldtown" feel. The hotel was close to both big palace in Seoul. The Changdeokgung palace was just cross the road. The main palace Gyeongbokgung was just a half hours walk. Hotel is located near two subway station.
The staff was very helpful, kind and could speak english. The rooms are very clean but kinda small. Very good that you can have access to Internet. Me and my friend enjoy our stay at Yims house.

Room was clean and warm. It was small but if you just need somewhere handy to sleep then this is a perfect place to stay. " |

| "This is a good price for budget travelers. The room is clean and enough for 2 of us. Location wise, it's 10 minutes' walk to a metro station which is linked to 3 lines, good to get you wherever you want." |

| "If Yim's House is categorised as a guesthouse, I would say thumbs up for its cleanliness, comfort and affordability. It has an elevator so its definitely good for elderly who don't have the stamina to climb the stairs. For the businessmen, they have free wireless internet. For the budget travellers, they can afford the stay for its low fees and yet still enjoy comfort. It was quite centrally located with accessible subway station about 5 minutes walk away. " |

| "All the previous reviews of the hotel are absolutely accurate. I did not have any doubts when i book this place. Its location and availability of korean restaurants, convenience stores, subway station (abt 5 - 7 min walk) is simply fantastic! After alighting airport limo no 6011 from incheon at anguk station, cross the road and walk in the direction of Changdeokgong and cross back to the side of the road where you alighted in front of Cheongdeokgong. the reason for this is that there is a ridiculars traffic junction at the Jap cultural centre that does not allow pedestrian crossing on the side of the road where the limo drop you off. if you don't have luggage, you can use the subway underground pass (no elavators avail). the hotel is located in a tiny lane behind the oil station. you need to look carefully or you'll miss the lane. If you walk past it, you find yourself outside the walls of Jongmyo shrine.
The Yim brothers are absolutely warm and friendly, fluent in english (thank god). They gave us a T-Money card with some cash value inside!!!!! (love them for this) Also, the cute guy behind the counter is trying hard to practice his english, so help him out with it.
Rooms are spanking clean and they have a cold and hot water dispenser in every room! (how good is that?) basic toileteries like shower form and toothpaste are avail.
Have no doubts have place your reservations there." |
