The Hotel El Jardín de la Abadia is placed in Arroyo de la Encomienda, a town which is 3 km from Valladolid. The hotel has been built on a structure whose date of building in unknown. The only historical references date from XVIII century. They have tried to reflect a medieval atmosphere by using building materials from other pulled down buildings from that age, such as Las Lauras convent from which they have used worked stone, windows, doors, etc. Regarding the pictures, there is a wide range of colours and frescos, with golden plinths and pillars, all of them combined with curtains and armchairs and sofas covered with tapestries that they themselves have restored, keeping their wood, springs and wool filling structures..
