the typical Swiss Chalethotel Schuetzen, first built in 1671, is located in the heart of Lauterbrunnen, only 3 minutes walk from the railway station and with a bus stop right outside. And let’s not forget the spectacular views of our pristine mountains, the Jungfrau and Silberhorn, and "Goethe’s" Staubach Falls. Our Hotel Schützen is also on the Schilthorn-Mürren-Lauterbrunnen Inferno downhill run, a ski race made famous by Sir Arnold Lunn and James Bond. So in winter, you can almost ski to the door of your room! Our traditional hotel is also close to the world-famous, 311 metre-high Staubbach Falls, praised by Goethe in his poem "Song of the Spirits over the Waters". An exceptional summer experience!Lauterbrunnen, at the foot of the mighty Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau massif, and its surrounding area offer a wide variety of hiking and excursion options. Many of the destinations can be reached with public transport. In winter, Lauterbrunnen is an excellent base for world-renowned ski areas: Mürren, Schilthorn (Inferno Race), Wengen-Kleine Scheidegg (Lauberhorn Downhill Ski Race).Non-smoking rooms have shower, toilet, radio, TV, and telephone, Superior-Room with a balcony-extra-charge.The restaurant offers, especially in the winter with its open-fire, a relaxing and homely feeling, as one would expect from a typical Swiss restaurant. In the summer there is the formidable view from the garden restaurant to the mountains.Breakfast awaits with an extensive buffet with many local specialities. In the evening you can either have the three-course half board menu or choose from the à-la-carte menu.
