Honestly speaking, I was a little disappointed when I first arrived at Lincoln Hotel. It is situated at a narrow street alley, and my first impression of it was quite terrible. However, after reaching the 9th floor of the building, where their lobby is situated at, my impression of the hotel improved. Unlike most hotels, Lincoln Hotel is actually situated just from the 9th storey to the 12th storey of a building. Despite the seemingly limited space, the rooms are actually rather generously spacious. I am quite impressed by the fact that they sacrificed the number of rooms for the comfort of the hotel stayers. Their counter staff are very friendly and helpful. Although the hotel is not very big, they actually do have a laundry area (with 2 washing machines & 1 dryer), a small gym, an internet cafe, a pool table, and a table tennis table. This hotel also provides transportation services for the hotel stayers to and fro the train stations. A definite value for money stay.

| "A very clean and nice hotel. They upgraded us to a nicer room for free and it was very spacious and classy. The staff was excellent and spoke English. They also had a free business center with internet and a printer. We went with the included breakfast deal and it was very good every morning - loved the brick toast. They even had a free washer/dryer for use, though the dryer didn't really get hot... overall a great place to stay!" |

| "I have never experienced high quality service like I did at the Lincoln. The staff was constantly one step ahead of us. Just before we could ask them, they offered us maps of the area, recommendations on where to go, bicycles in case we wanted to go a bit far, and taxis in case we ever needed one. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk or so from the center of the eating/shopping area, although it would be tricky to get there the first time any other way than by taxi. The closest sightseeing attractions are about a 10 minute walk away, while others are as far as a 40 minute walk. My party and I didn't mind the walk, but we could have just as easily taxied everywhere on the cheap (we didn't pay more than 120 yuan, or about $4 for any single taxi ride). We were more than satisfied with the location, and even more so with the helpfulness of the staff. We would highly recommend the Lincoln to anyone on a budget and who wants to be centrally located in Tainan." |
