"The cleaning staff speaks really loudly early in the morning and can be heard in my room so that was rather annoying as I was woken up by their loud voices daily. There is no wrieless service in the hotel. When I had to check out, I had three pieces of lugguage and also had to carry my handbag and a notebook. The porter and a manager was nice enough to allow the porter to help me carry my luggage to the bus station which was about 5 mins walk away. I really appreciate that good service! "

"Location is excellent. Very near the Taipei main railway station so it is very convenient if you need to take the subway, normal railway or high speed railway. Two doors from the main entrance on the right is a good place to try breakfast the Taiwanese way.The downside was the front desk service. They were sullen and unfriendly. No smiles. disappointing!"

"I had a positive experience. Room size was good. Hotel very neat and clean. Service was good, though most staff struggle with English. Location is perfect. One complaint is that the walls are very thin, so at time I felt that I could hear people "think" next door. I also heard someone play the piano, and it was so loud that it could have been in my room. However at night the noise level was not an issue."

"Very good location. Room is small but still ok."

"The best thing about the Cosmos hotel is that it is very, very convenient. You can take the express bus from CKS airport to the main station and the hotel is not more than 25 or so steps (varies with the traffic in front of the hotel) from the dropoff point! The bus will cost you 125 NTD, roughly about 5 US dollars (as opposed to about 50 - 60 USD for an unshared taxi). The hotel itself is a non-descript building, the exterior being almost grungy in outward appearance. But don't let that deter you as most buildings in the Taipei downtown area are grungy and non-descript. The hotel is within a short walking distance from the ritzy, 8-floor, Mitsukoshi department store (downtown branch)and loads of fast food joints in the underground mall adjacent to the main station. (If you need travel medications, you can find them at the ubiquitous "Cosmed" store which looks like a make-up shop but really sells Taiwanese versions of aspirin, ibuprofen, etc.) The room i stayed in was a standard room with really no view, except of the multi-story building across the street. It was just large enough not to be called "small" and it was supplied with a queen-sized bed. The sheets were clean as well as the bedspread and the headboard control panel was a model of asian efficiency and gadgetry. The noise level was very low considering that the hotel was right in the middle of the downtown area - make sure you get an upper floor for this feature. The hotel is spotless and the staff are very courteous and helpful - I was able to store my luggage after I checked out for the entire day. There is a very efficient tour desk that will also arrange day-trips, overnight excursions for you. The bellhops take your luggage to your room from the reception area. The cashier was indifferent at best and this was the only weak spot on the staff. Security is good and there were no obvious problems as far as I could tell during my 4-day stay. The buffet breakfast was very substantial if you like the asian-style foods such as congee with condiments, noodles galore, small selection of dim sum, fruits, stir-fries, juices, coffee, tea, etc. Eggs were made to order. The dining room was clean and staff was attentive. The window of operation for lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurants (with the exception of the two in-hotel coffee shops) was very narrow - lunch service terminates at 2:00 pm. All-in-all the hotel offers the business and leisure traveler terrific value for money, though if you desire luxury, it would be best to go up the street one block to the newly-renovated Taipei Sheraton whose level of service and amenities are world-class, almost fussy, but then again, you will pay world-class, luxury prices for your stay there."

"Location is a big plus, however, there is no window in our room. Staff are nice and room is generally clean, though the noise level is high at night as we can hear clicking of doors, voice whispering in the neighbouring rooms, etc. Toiletries are all provided in the package, including disposable slippers!"

"The hotel staff are polite and are willing to assist. The hotel is located right next to MRT and is a great place for those whom are on DIY package."

"location and service is the main reason for me to buy your product."

"Location of the hotel is excellent, just a few doors' away from the metro station and a stone's throw away from the railway station.suitable for free & easy traveller b'cause the navigation ard taipei by the metro train is simple n easy, thus proximity to the metro station simply made the whole holiday convenient. Bottled mineral water is replaced daily with no extra charge and the room is comfortable. The only negative part is too few the tv channels. Service standard is above average though I would not say it is excellent."
