"BED BUGS! BED BUGS! AND MORE BED BUGS!!! Despite the perfect location and the so-so service, this was the worst place amongst the hundred of hotels I stayed in my entire life! I stayed in Room 503 in late Jun 2007. The room was stuffy, crammed and hot, air con was not working well, it leaked onto the bed when it is on (i.e. causing the growth of bed bugs). And of course just like the previous review, the biggest problem is bed bugs! At first I thought it was just skin allergy due to the unclean bedsheet after a night slept there because both my legs were very itchy with only swollen signs but not red markings yet. I did not know this until I was on the plane back Singapore and notice around 50 red swollen bites on both my legs, it was so itchy and looks terribly disgusting. Though now the markings are still there and less obvious, but the insecurity of sleeping on even my own bed in Singapore still haunts me every night. That is how serious my legs were bitten, No kidding. I even have taken picture of them. Hope this is useful for those thinking that this hotel is cheap and perfect in location. "

"first of all, i got beaten by bed lies on the first night in the hotel.I requested for a change in blanket and bedsheet the next morning.I had to thank the cleaner who changed for me immediately. However,on the last day, we had to call up the coach company and ask them to come and fetch us to taoyuan airport. We requested the receptionist to call for us because we are not sure what number to call and how to call.Much to our surprise, she actually declined and told us that we had to use the pay phone instead because the hotel phone cannot call.Alright, she then told us the no. to call and we followed her instructions on how to use the payphone. However, the call did not get through. We then ask her again for instructions but she explicitly claimed that at the rate we're going, we won't be able to call the coach company by noon. She sounded very rude.Is this the way to treat the hotel customers?I don't think so.We may be young but that doesn't mean that we deserve this kind of attitude. She could have easily help us with this simple thing. In the end, out of no choice, she actually use the hotel phone, which she initially claimed that cannot call, and help us call. Despite her bad attitude, we're still thankful that she still help us call in the end.If not, we would have missed the coach. If not for this incident,i would have find my stay in goodground very pleasant."

"The bathtub floods, unable to drain water fast enough. The water boiler/flask is malfunction, went to change and saw many others were asking to change the boiler too. Location is not bad."

"I booked a room at this hotel at asiarooms.com, and spent around a week there. The great thing about this hotel is that it is located in the Ximen pedestrian area, right next to Ximen subway station. This area is very hectic and energetic, with thousands of pedestrians, shops, and a few noisy 15 meter wide tv-screens that they fortunately turn off at night. I think this is the best area for young tourists in Taipei, and the subway system takes you everywhere else you might want to go in the city. It is strange that so many hotels are located just north of the central station, when this area (which is just west of the central station) is much more vibrant and interesting. The hotel is a small and cheap budget hotel, and you get what you pay for. It needs maintenance, and the worst thing about my room was that it wasn’t possible to regulate the air conditioning. The entrance of the hotel is in a “street” that is less than 1,5 meters wide, so you’ll have to walk a few meters from the taxi to the entrance. Overell a good hotel for budget travelers."
