| "On the positive, my booking request for higher floor and non-smoking room were pleasantly acceded to. With the reviews from other users, was mentally prepared for the small room and smaller window. Room were efficiently make-up and bath towels replaced everyday. A water boiler is provided in the corrider for your drinking needs.
On the negative, the distance to Ximending was further than anticipated. Kilin would be nearer to the LongShan Metro station instead. It's especially tiresome to walk back from the Metro to Hotel, after a long day of walking & sightseeing, especially when carting back shopping bags. Surronding areas are dusty buildings and roads, not very pleasant to walk pass. On the 1st night during checking in, encounter a surly receptionist. (Maybe she was tired???)
If opportunity arises in the future to go Taipei again, will be willing to pay a bit more to book Rainbow instead, which is right in Ximending, and just a few steps away to Ximending Metro Station. But all in all, Kilin will fit the needs of a Budget traveller, if one's expectation is just cheap and clean accomodation." |

| "Generally, the hotel is good. But it is not so accessible as compare to hot hotels locate right in the center of Ximending. However, the hotel is stil within walking distance to Ximending and lonshangshi MRT station. It takes around ten - fifteen min to reach the MRT.
For about the services and facilities, it is satisfied consider it is a three stars hotel. Generally, the hotel is still worth the money i paid." |

| "The rooms are small and rather uncomfortable. My husband and I found insufficient space to move around, not to say having space to leave our only one luggage. We got to resort to placing it on the dressing table. The space given to put the luggage is only enough for a small hand luggage. The cabinet is also rather small. However, I must say that the staffs in Kilin are really friendly and responisible. They are efficient and you feel welcome staying in the hotel. If you don't mind walking a little, XiMenDing is just a distance away. There are nice eateries within stone's throw away. " |

| "The room is very old and small with poor lighting. You can hear people talking across the walkway and there will be noise from the drainage system periodically throughout the night. But it has a pretty good location, very near to Long Shan Si MTR Station, the hotel staffs are pretty friendly and helpful too." |

| "... ... Quite a old and lack-of-good-maintenance hotel, which can only stay for a very short period, though the staffs at the reception and restaurants are pleasant and helpful in general.
The only plus point of the Kilin hotel Taipei is the close promixity to the nearest train station (LongShanShi Station, about 6-minutes walk) and the happening night streets at XingMenDing (about 10-minutes walk)
No proper inner door latch but only a little chain lock at the door can impose some security concerns. Sudden noise emitted by the motor pumps (for water) at the ceiling and voice communications along the corridors can be heard very clearly in the middle of the nights.
Just a comments ..." |

| "Some of the rooms in the hotel can be quite small and yes, limited or no sunlight and no view to talk abou. The hotel is nearer to Long Shan Temple and Long Shan Si MRT station. It is quite convenient. As you walk to the Long Shan Si MRT, shop at the shops. They offer quite cheap stuff. At the same time, Hua Si Jie (nightmarket) and a clothes wholesale is just nearby. Shop till u drop. " |
