Hotel Review posted by peter, United Kingdom in July 2005

June 2005: The locations was good. It is only 5 minutes from the sky train and 7 minutes from the river ferry. The staff were nice and we had no problems. The rooms are not that great and smells of damp so was the dark lobby. I will not call this a 3star hotel or even a two star hotel. If you are on a tight budget and dont expect too much then go for it but if you are not on a tight budjet then go for something else.

"This is an excellent 'good value' hotel option if you're staying in Bangkok and want to see the city. Stay here and you'll get a modern hotel with all the essentials of a clean room, clean bedlinen, adequate breakfast and helpful service but at a far lower rate than you will pay at other establishments of a similar standard. But the real winner is the location, it gives you the freedom to explore the city easily by both river and skytrain as they are both just a few minutes walk away."

"Room was adequate. There was no refrigerator or coffee pot in the room. The neighborhood is the only really big downfall. There are no decent restaurants around it except the one in the hotel and no where to get coffee. They should at least have a coffee pot in the lobby. It is close to the business district which is convenient. I would possibly stay again."

"Room was small and dingy and lacking conveniences. Breakfast was terrible. You can find much better hotels in Bangkok for the same price."
