Hotel Review posted by David, Singapore in August 2005

(1) We were given a king sized bed as we requested.  But we found the mattress too soft and asked to change the room to a twin bed.  They did it without asking any question.  The single beds are good size and pretty firm for our liking.  I asked for an extra pillow and was given quite promptly too.  Therefore the service is overall good.  Maybe we were there during off-peak seasons.

(2) The room had a smell when we stepped in probably from the carpet.  But the smell were less noticeable after the aircon is turned on for 10 minutes.  The aircon was too strong in my opinion.  It might be too few occupants in the hotel this period of time.  They provide two complimentaty bottles of driniking water.

(3) The American breakfast was reasonably good.  But one can get tired of it as there were no other choice unless you pay for it.  Fortunately, stayed there for only three days.

(4) The location is fairly convenient as you could get Taxi quite easily outside as its not at a very crowded street outside.  BTS station is only a few minutes walk away, but you hardly use it as a tourist.  However, most taxi drivers seem to be unfamiliar with the hotel as its really too small.

Overall, its not fantanstic.  But I cannot complain for the price I paid.  I could still use the hotel if I want to save money next time.

"This is an excellent 'good value' hotel option if you're staying in Bangkok and want to see the city. Stay here and you'll get a modern hotel with all the essentials of a clean room, clean bedlinen, adequate breakfast and helpful service but at a far lower rate than you will pay at other establishments of a similar standard. But the real winner is the location, it gives you the freedom to explore the city easily by both river and skytrain as they are both just a few minutes walk away."

"Room was adequate. There was no refrigerator or coffee pot in the room. The neighborhood is the only really big downfall. There are no decent restaurants around it except the one in the hotel and no where to get coffee. They should at least have a coffee pot in the lobby. It is close to the business district which is convenient. I would possibly stay again."

"Room was small and dingy and lacking conveniences. Breakfast was terrible. You can find much better hotels in Bangkok for the same price."
