THIS WAS OUR FIRST EXPERIENCE AND IT WAS NOT HARD TO SEE THAT ITS NAME IS SYNONYMOUS WITH EXCELLENCE AND GOOD TASTE. HONEYMOONERS AND THOSE WANTING TO BE PAMPERED SHOULD TRY THE CLUB SUITES WHERE THE CLUB LOUNGE FACILITIES AND OTHER BENEFITS LIKE FREE LAUNDRY AND LOCAL CALLS AND BETTER BREAKFAST VENUE/SERVICE IS WORTH EVERY CENT OF THE EXTRA CHARGE AT CLUB FLOORS. AT BREAKFAST WE HAD DISHES COOKED TO ORDER. I AM A REGULAR/VETERAN OF THAILAND AND I FOUND BANYAN'S STAFF TO BE A CUT ABOVE THE REST. THE FRONT STAFF EVEN GUESSED YOUR NAME WHEN YOU WALKED IN FROM THE AIRPORT ( DON'T YOU WISH THAT'S THE WAY IT SHOULD BE AND IS SO AT PLACES CLAIMING TO OFFER EXCELLENCE? THE ONLY OTHER SUCH EXPERIENCE WAS SHERATON GRANDE IN L.A. MANY YEARS AGO ). EVERYTHING WAS PROMPT BE IT INSTALLING A DVD PLAYER OR HOUSEKEEPING. WE NEEDED LAUNDRY PRACTICALLY OVERNIGHT AS WE WERE LEAVING AND SURE ENOUGH IT WAS THERE AS REQUESTED. YOU ALMOST EXPECT AND TAKE FOR GRANTED THE 'CAN DO'. ONLY ONE COMPLAINT - I USED THE HOTEL PHONE FOR SOME OSEAS CALLS AS OPTUS BARRED ME CALLING OUT ( DONT ASK ME WHY ) AND THEY C H A A A A R G E ! CONSIDERING THEY ALL DO, I CANNOT FAULT BANYAN TREE BANGKOK. TRY IT AND BE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED.

| "It is a very nice hotel in terms of service, rooms, restaurants, but from a pure hestetic point of view, I thought it was better, especially considering that it is an institution in Asia. It has sad coulors, it looks like old, especially comparing it to other hotels in Bangkok which are even cheaper, cost even less and are much nicer.
I don't have anything negative to say about this hotel, but making a comparisin towards other Thai hotels I visited, I preferred other ones.

| "The corridors to the rooms were poorly ventilated and did not provide a pleasant approach and departure from the room due to a musty odour. The room was a very good size and well equipped. Due to renovations the breakfast was shifted to another restaurant within the hotel and the breakfast service was split between different rooms. On one occasion as the breakfast area was full we were directed to the club lounge area on another level. Whilst the breakfast was adequate it doesnt match the quality of the Intercontinental in Bangkok where we have stayed before. The location is OK but not as well located as hotels closer to BTS stations" |

| "This was the second visit to the hotel. I cannot believe just how amazing it is. I booked two rooms for total of 5 guests and the hotel accomodated the three in one room with a roll-away bed.
I had deluxe club rooms which included too much to add here but suffice to say that although I have travelled to and lived in many countries in the world, the BANYAN TREE in Bangkok is the best in the world of those I have visited and there are many 5 to 7 star hotels among them.
For rooms, ammenities, attention to detail,restaurants,meals, services. (I had been un well and some flowers and a Get well card was delivered to my room and the Manager called several times to see If there was anything they could bring me) THE STAFF WERE SO SO NICE, THE THAI PEOPLE ARE JUST WONDERFUL.
AMAZING! FABULOUS! OUTSTANDING!
