We stayed at Buddy Lodge a year ago in a deluxe room and loved it. This time the price had gone up so we just got a standard room which was unfortunately nowhere near as good - it was old, tired and in need of a refurb - plus they gave us twin beds instead of a double bed. The breakfast buffet was also pretty standard but the biggest disappointment was the staff. While the location in the heart of Ko Sahn Rd is fantastic all of the staff seemed jaded from being exposed to too many tourists leaving us feeling as if the slightest request was just too much of an inconvenience for the surly staff. While we loved this place last time we stayed this time we were left thinking we would stay somewhere else next time as quite frankly you could nicer accommodation with much better service elsewhere for the same money.

| "- The roof top pool is a nice touch, especially if you have been out walking around the city all day
- The breakfast included is at the adjacent restaurant and is very generous
- It can be quite noisy at night...even though Buddy Lodge is quiet, the hotel is situated in the heart of Khoa San road and there is a lot of noise from the street at pubs" |

| "Very nice hotel at an excellent location. Walking distance to Grand palace and Wat Po, and also to Wat Indrawihan. Excellent restaurant, nice swimming pool and very nice atmosphere. We stayed four nights with our three children. They enjoyed Khao San road very much. Good value for money!" |

| "Hotel is great. There is a travel agent right across the entry of the hotel, which arranges the bus from/to the airport. We waited at 06:00 for 45 minutes but the bus never came, so we had to take a taxi. This was not great, but the hotel itself was good." |
