This is the 1st time I have stayed in different accomodation after straight 8 years in Asia Hotel. Thus, my comparison is between these 2 hotels only. In terms of location, it a hassel to walk along the narrow pedestrain beside the main road to the BTS, especially for famailies with infant, we had to struggle with our stroller, baby and bags against the traffic and pedestrain. AH have direct access feom BTS to hotel, which is a plus point. The breadfast food is somewhat a bit pale in comparison with AH as well.
The good service and friendly attitude of the front line staffs acutally helps to make up the shortfall. They acutally ensure that our safety is not compromise by giving specific instruction to the taxi driver and providing a namecard for our return trip. With a shopping center located beneath the hotel, it also actually helps to settle most of my personnal admin. Within the rooms itself, it is fully provided with cooking facilities for family stay, which is really convenient.
Conclusion, I would't mind a 2nd stay at Center Point Silom if the management could look into adjusting the accomodation price is slightly as it is more expensive than AH.

| "Excellent service hotel with very large rooms, good facilities and very helpful staff. The location is very convenient to both the river and the Skytrain, the key to beating the traffic of downtown Bangkock. Having a washer/dryer in the room was also very helpful." |

| "Nice size of the room, good to have your own washing machine in the room, room servise was quick, nice rooftop swimming pool, breakfast was OK as well, but the reason I would never ever stay at this hotel again is cus the room was full of cockroaches!!! UGH!!!" |

| "The room was lovely, the staff were helpful. Th taxi driver took us to the wrong Centrepoint apartment initially so be careful, show your driver a map because he may not read the address properly!
The room has everything you could need, including a washing machine. It is VERY close to the BTS, so you can get to the major malls without a problem.
Plenty of channels, movies available from downstairs and free WIFI. Great hotel." |
