Hotel Review posted by John Robert Limjuco, Philippines in February 2005

This is our 2nd stay here in a span of five months. My wife and I frequent Bangkok for a mix of business and holiday and through the years we've sampled stays at various hotels and serviced apartments. Value for money, apartments are winners hands down over hotels; and as far as cost is concerned Centre Point Silom ranks mid-way amongst other serviced apartments that offer daily rates. Last Sept. 2004 we decided that the days of sampling places to stay in Bangkok will end here at this property choice, this is where we are happiest! From our 19th floor room the river view can be quite fetching but the real bargain is from the cheaper city view room we had last year.
Travel time to Centre Point Service Apartment Silom from the airport is a breeze because the location is just a few hundred metres away from the expressway's exit ramp. Once there our access to both the Sky Train and the Chao Phraya Express boats are just a 3 minute walk away... excellent! Filling the apartment with provisions was not a problem because of the direct access to Robinson's Dept. Store and the TOPS supermarket in the basement. The front desk staff, housekeeping and bell service are extremely courteous and efficient.
The only reason I can think of on not giving this place the full 10/10 rating is probably their breakfast buffet. Don't get me wrong, if you're a businessman looking for your quick morning fill, this will fit the bill... coffee, tea, juice, breads, fruits, porridge, eggs and noodles, it's all there, BUT not in the quantity, variety and eye-catching spendour you'd see in a proper five-star hotel (on some mornings they actually ran out of Equal sweetener). The reading material on offer in the dining area were mostly in Japanese, the few copies of the Bangkok Post were quickly snapped up by other guests. This aside, everything's great!

| "Nice size of the room, good to have your own washing machine in the room, room servise was quick, nice rooftop swimming pool, breakfast was OK as well, but the reason I would never ever stay at this hotel again is cus the room was full of cockroaches!!! UGH!!!" |

| "The room was lovely, the staff were helpful. Th taxi driver took us to the wrong Centrepoint apartment initially so be careful, show your driver a map because he may not read the address properly!
The room has everything you could need, including a washing machine. It is VERY close to the BTS, so you can get to the major malls without a problem.
Plenty of channels, movies available from downstairs and free WIFI. Great hotel." |

| "We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was perfect for my family of 5's needs (we paid for an extra bed). The staff were very friendly and helpful apart from initially saying they did not have a double room available and we would have to have 2 x 1 bedrooms which I refused as we had booked and paid for 6 months in advance (it was also the last thing you want to deal with when you have been travelling for 20 hours!) The hotel is ideally situated close to the sky train, Oriental Hotel and river. The rooms were extremely clean and welcoming and the staff could not do enough to help you. It was nice to have a washer/dryer in the room, so we could launder our clothes daily. The apartment space was enormous, nice marble bathrooms, big bedrooms, large living area, dining/kitchen with quality fixtures and fittings and I would definately book this type of accommodation over a hotel room. The buffet breakfast could offer a bit more choice." |

| "This hotel exceeded our expectations well and truly! Great location as well, with plenty of nightlife and markets on the doorstep. The room was beautiful, clean and tidy. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. What can I say?! Will definitely be going back." |
