| "I visited Thailand in April to meet some friends, and I asked them to recommend a hotel that was in a lower price range seeing as all I would do is sleep and shower there, because we had such a busy schedule. The room was larger than I expected for a single, and had an english language movie channel which was nice, my Thai speaking is very poor. I don't understand the complaints the people have. Carpet gets soiled from foot traffic, and seeing as I lived in Florida for 6 years I know cockroaches are almost unavoidable due to the climate, even with an exterminator. The front desk staff didn't speak perfect English, but why should they? It is Thailand after all, but they were helpful and very courteous. The doorman was excellent too, everytime I was in the lobby he brought me water and I didn't even ask, that is true customer service. I didn't mind the location either, it is right next to the river and I've never seen so many taxicabs in my life. Anyone who can't enjoy their stay at the Chaleena is the kind of person who isn't happy no matter what you do." |

| "From the outside, the hotel looks good. But inside is a different story. The lobby smells bad, maybe because of the river beside the hotel. The hallways smell bad as well and looks very old. The rooms have cockroaches. The breakfast was the same everyday. The girls from the reception area could not even understand english. I don't think i will stay in this hotel again even if their rates is very cheap. " |

| "The staff are ok. prompt. But the bath towels were almost brown.( too long in use)Some of my friends bathrooms( two of them) had tiny cockroaches.and not clean.Mine had too, but the recptionist change my room to a deluxde after I informed here.( much appreaciated).breakfast spread is too thin, meaning only few items, as compared to last year.
The outdoor lounge with the sole singer is a good idea but too many mosquitoes. We had lots of bites after only two songs.
Hope it will improve the next time I stay there.
Cheers!" |

| "Nice basic hotel with excellent helpful staff near airport, 15 minutes(145 baht by Metered Taxi to airport) do not accept non metered taxi or cost will be 500 baht. This is not a high tag 4/5 star hotel for long stay but very friendly and helpful staff. Good location to miss traffic jam to airport. Good breakfast buffet and good resturant with various entertainment. Many Asian and Thai people stay here, very economic. Still much better than hotels in North Pole/Fairbanks area where I vacation from. Thanks for everything. VB" |

| "I was unpleasantly surprised that there was no healthclub/gym available at the hotel, although this was clearly advertised in their brochures and on the websites. The staff at the reception was inpolite at best and some were clearly rude. Unfortunately I do speak Thai and the staff gossips in their language about the guests." |
