"The room is nicely decorated though the building looks old. It is very near Asok BTS and there is a Robinson department store nearby which is good for last minute shopping. At night, there is night bazzar along the street. Overall, the room and location is good. "

"First impressions the hotel appears to be small and dull. However, the room was excellent it makes a change to have a room that has more than enough lighting and a shower that was in tremendous working order. The room also had all the services that you would expect from a more up market hotel - hair dryer, safe, good coffee and tea facilities. The location was also excellent very close to the sky train and subway, making travelling around the city very easy and comfortable. Staff were also very helpful.I will book again."

| "Cons
Room: Is too small. TV program too limited. Don't even have CNN or Star World, which is already a standard in most hotels.
Bathroom: Drainage is a problem. Water pressure is a problem. Stucky faucet and shower. Can't believe this is suppose to be managed by a chain like Amarin.
Breakfast: Don't mine the small and cosy dining facility. But, breakfast were only 2 toasts, tea or coffee and you would need to give up your few paper thin slices of fruits if you would like juice instead. A far cry from the standard in even less expensive hotels around the area. (Again, can't believe this is Amarin's standards.)
Service: I have a strong feeling that they are greatly under staffed. The restaurant waitresses did just about everything in the dinning area including cleaning up after spills. And the chambermaids kept forgeting to replenish something everyday.
Pros
Room: Decor is quite ok for this level. Furniture is good quality. ONe of the most comfortable beds I've ever been in....serious!
Bathroom: A good shower area. Not those terrible bath tubs. Amenities are available, though, stingy.
Location: Steps away from the BTS (Skytrain)and MRT exchange junction.
Staff: Bell staffs are very helpful and very nice and polite. Espcially the balding one (he makes you think you are in a 6 star hotel). Bad of me not finding out his name. Male front office staff is also very helpful & polite.

"Firstly i want to thank City Lodge and their staff for being so kind and helpful. I actually left my diamond ear stud in the hotel room when i checked out and flew back to s'pore. I called them the next day to check if they have my ear stud. The house keeping dept actually found it and handed it to the frontdesk. I got my ear stud back. Thank You so much. Loaction is one of the best. 30 steps and you'd find a 7/11 store. 60 steps to the BTS. 2mins walk to Robinsons at the Westin. There are lots of roadside stores and thai massages nearby. The rooms are old but clean. Tv is small. Toilet is old but clean. Water pressure is not good enough thou. For the kind of money you're paying. Its value for money. Front desk and bell boy are friendly and helpful. Thanks."

"Good Value, Idea Location, Clean, tidy and for the money you could not ask for more. I also stayed at the Sheraton on the next visit, dissapointing. If I go back I would stay at the City Lodge again. All you need is a place to sleep, the hotel provides this and more for a bargain."

"I would say excellent location for the City Lodge Sukhumvit 19. Walking distance to BTS station and other roadside shopping area in Sukhumvit. Several foot and body massage (decent ones) available along the Sukhumvit 19, walking distances. Well it would have been better if the City Lodge could provide a wireless high speed broadband in the room for business people like me, as I had to use the dialup from a prepaid card bought over the 7-11 store opposite. Rooms were alrite thou there were some nasty smell. Other than that i would say its a value for money."
